As promised to certain parties ;)
The details for the May Fly-In are posted in the Online Flying pages (http://www.fly-euroharmony.com/maarten/view_events/more_info.php?id=82)
Expect chart packs RSN (Real Soon Now™) ;D

COOL!!! ;D;D;D i may be able to fly both legs of the event, just that i have to fly a shorter one for the first :]
-
Well, I know I haven't been sleeping well lately but are the months not mixed up?
Otherwise, it surely is time for that doctor's appointment.
I thought seeing weird things only happened to me when flying! :]:]
-
Yeh Sotiris, my bad... All fixed now...
-
This event is absolutely brilliant!
I am sure we will join massively and break our record of 15 pilots on an event!
We are counting will all of you mates! Let's fill the skies on this day and make this day as an historical one!
Don't you guys forget to sign in on our online flight page.

I have a question, for that long flight across the atlantic, how do we set FS up for the route if pilots like me dont have PMDG or FSNAV and vasFMC doesnt recognise the airways we are taking? :s
-
I can make you the route in FSNav and export them to FS2004 format the day of the fly-in just need to have the current NAT track information for the day:)
-
that would be great, thanks Christian ;D
-
Uf, sorry guys, I'd like to join this celebration flights with my greatest pleasure, but just at the day you'll virtually fly over the big pond to Atlanta, I'll be flying in reality from Toronto to Frankfurt, so Peter will be excluded this time. But I'll be with all of you during all this 24 hours event. Nice flight and happy landing in Atlanta to every participant!

Can't do the chart packs yet, but the flight plans for all routes are now available in FS-Nav 4.X and FS2004 format (single download) from the fly-in info page.

Thanks for spotting that Javier. All fixed now (I typed in the download URL wrong...)

Fellow pilots! I'm registered and ready to go. Will be sure to get to KATL before the end of the day. Good luck to everyone!
-
I've got work, but I will see if I can make it.
-
I already planned my trip :)
09:00am (zulu) I pick up my Boeing 747-400F at Lisbon, and fly to Heathrow!
After landing, I will check at what time we depart to Atlanta ;) ...
-
I'll be back home around 1700Z I'll take off from EGLL around that time with my MD-11 or maybe with the Tupolev ;)
Anybody flying on that time??
-
OK everyone (esp. Christian, thanks for "volunteering" ;D ) here's the real-world NAT tracks "announcement": https://www.notams.jcs.mil/common/nat.html
Since IVAO go with real world (http://occ.ivao.ca/tracks.php - looks to be the same page embedded to me...), and the NATs change twice daily (0000Z and 1200Z), we'll just need to check again in the break between legs. I'm hoping they aren't going to change all that much over night.
For those of you taking part at some point in the TransAtlantic "leg" that have never flown the NATs before: http://occ.ivao.ca/pilots.php

Doing the event with Javier
-
0700Z (ish) I'll be departing LGAV in a private jet (thanks Robert for the repaint) and 3 hours later I'll be landing.

Hehe, I knew I shoud not have done that;)
The NAT tracks can change, in particular if there is great change in the Noth Atlantic weather.
-
Here is flighplans with current NAT track Golf. It's a little different from the published route in the Online pages.
Here is a link to the flightplans: Flightplnas with NAT G (http://www.fly-euroharmony.com/downloads/flyin.zip)
Flightplans are for FSNav and FS2004, and valid from 1130z to 1900z May 26th
Happy flying;)

"Official" start for leg two (EGLL=>KATL) is 1300Z, but that's only a guideline to allow Bruno to land and have a short rest ;) (Jav & Matt were preparing to leave for KATL as I was landing at EGLL for instance...)
Regarding routing, go with Christian's above rather than any previously "advertised" (haven't check Christian's yet, but RouteFinder gave me:
EGLL SID CPT UL9 MALOT NATE YYT J575 BOS J16 ALB J190 SFK04 J59 PSB J78 HVQ STAR KATL
mere moments ago - notice it's using NAT E...)
-
Hi guys,
I saw the NAT tracks and I think the most suitable is the "E" one:
E MALOT 53/20 52/30 50/40 48/50 NOVEP YYT
So, the route will be:
EGLL SID CPT UL9 MALOT 53N020W 52N030W 50N040W 48N050W NOVEP YYT J575 BOS J16 ALB J190 SFK04 J59 PSB J78 HVQ STAR KATL
SID: CPT3F
I'm already programming the PMDG FMC ;) at gate 608 on EGLL, on my Boeing 747-400F :)
-
Hi Guys, I am going to join you all flying from KJFK to KATL. See you soon! ;)

Arrg screwed up here:{
Well the ones using NAT G get's a more south routing than those using NAT E....
Sorry guys
-
All change, even if you are in the air ;D
Looking in FSNav, the routing is easier if you use the following from ALB VOR:
ALB J49 PSB J78 HVQ J145 ODF
Then use a FLCON1 approach...

What a great event my friends. I am very happy that we got a massive addition from pilots and everything went well.
The photos taken by both heli's are fantastic, and the other ones are more than great! Definately we need to repeat these kind of events so we can appreciate this moments more time together.
One more time thank you all who participated!
Regards,
