Hi all Just found out that SkyVector.com have a beta test flight planner, was only for USA but it is now for worldwide, you get world VFR charts and IFR world charts, it is still on going, but it look to be a good step forward, have not had time to play with it yet but what l have seen looks nice . Thanks mate!
I've always been "jealous" of the USA for having such a nice system; now that it's over in Europe as well, I'll definitely give it a spin this evening. Bookmarked it already ;)

Hallo all,
Found out the extended use of Skyvector and what a great addition to the flightsimmers world. Up to now I had to use only the GPS when making a VFR leg from the DWT; and there are a lot of those! Now with Skyvector on my second, navigation computer I'm able to plan those 100 to 250 nm legs without GPS with my old Cessna Birddog. Finally, because I only bought a 1:500.000 VFR chart of the BENELUX, I can practise this challenging kind of flying outside Europe! And, by the way, all for free!

That's a great find Bruce, I'll be checking it out shortly ;)

Indeed this looks like a huge improvment in realism for VFR flying

Actually, not only for VFR. I just held a division group flight somewhere in the world where there would be otherwise no way to get charts, and the IFR enroute charts provided by skyvector are awesome too! Very useful for flight planning.
