Title: My RC plane
Post by: EHM-2387 Eric-Jan on August 17, 2017, 08:57:54 pm
Just a little different flying:

Unfortunately, I soon ended up in a tree, where it remainder stuck at 54ft AGL (18m) for ten days before anyone managed to get it out.
Tried with my drone, and almost succeeded.
But then I went back home to make sure I would do the final rescue attempt with a full battery (it was drained pretty much during these initial tests). When I got back in the morning the day after, someone else had already managed to get it out.

And as I have Saïd all along those 10 days it was stuck there, up in a tree:
Better to have it back in pieces, than to have it up there in one piece...

Back to the hobby room to do some un-denting, and gluing:D

My RC hobby is really taking to the sky, now!
I was approached bt GearBest if I would be interested in reviewing some RC related stuff for them.
Well... if they want to send me free gadgets, why not?  ;D

So I made a new blog to write all that stuff down: https://ericjeflies.blogspot.com (https://ericjeflies.blogspot.com)
Go check it out!

Also, I made a facebook page where I dump all those coupon codes I get, now that I am an affiliate.
https://www.facebook.com/NoHurries-140425596581189/ (https://www.facebook.com/NoHurries-140425596581189/)
That's not all RC related (other gadgets that I like, too - phones, tablets, 3D printers, even robot vacuum cleaners)

Any links to GearBest you may encounter on my blog and facebook page are so-called affiliate links. If you wish to purchase something, and you use those links to head on over to the GearBest site (even if it is to putchase something else), I get a small percentage of the turnover as a budget to "play with" when requesting new review articles. Just so you know upfront...

Especially through the facebook page, you will get extra discounts that you would otherwise not get, because of those coupon codes. So that's a win-win situation  :D

That's awesome Eric. They must have recognized your passion. Nothing better than to make a living doing what you love. Do you have a youtube channel perhaps?

 ;D
Thanks, Chad!
Far from making a living, though  ;)
But I see it more like “whatever I get for free is a bonus”

No YouTube channel yet, though. It would at this stage be not much more than all the other unboxing channels. I do use video’s in my blog, “stored” on my personal YouTube. But who knows,... if this takes off I might put the time and effort in to turn it into a more professional channel.
