Post by: EHM-1627 Chris on September 06, 2005, 08:50:17 pm

When i start up the flight logger - using the newly downloaded file as the .exe to start the prog.

i recieve a runtime error:

Here is a screen shot for you all:

what file do you run???

is it the .exe that you downloaded or the shortcut link?

EDIT:

I just tried to re-download the update.
when update had downloaded i ran it
this then started flight logger (without doing any install)
I then recieved the error stated in my first post.

Hi Blyth,

you have to put this update file in your main EHM-Flightlogger folder and overwrite the old one (usually C:Programm/EHM/Flightlogger!

Ahhh rite...i get it now!!!

As with most problems that i get...it was just me being a idiot!!!

EDIT:

Now i have got it worked...i would like to make a comment on the new parts to do with the route planner...the last of the new boxes (the one on the right) is larger than the others...i know this is not something that is important...but thought that it should be mentioned

yes this "fault" was on the previous version.

http://www.euroharmony.com/~forum/viewthread.php?tid=1595

what you need to do is to select the aircraft and then select the tour flight, and ignore the message saying you have selected the wrong aircraft.

Hope this has helped.
& hope that this will soo be fixed!!!

Dear pilots,

We have deployed a 2.6.39 setup version to solve your problems.

Please uninstall the 2.6.36 (uninstall it and then remove the directory is possible) and install this new one.

This setup version is available on the suggested download page.

Sorry for the incovenience ;) ...

Don't mean to tread on your toes here Bruno, but the 2.6.39 installer only installs the 2.6.39 executable file.

When Bruno says uninstall 2.6.36, you will need to reinstall it afterwards, then run the 2.6.39 installer...

(least ways, that what I had to do not five minutes ago)

:)

I am sorry,

Murray is right. You don't need to uninstall the flight logger 36 version.

Hi,

I have a problem with both the new version 2.6.39 and the previous 2.6.36:

Starting from yesterday, when I try to launch the Flight Logger program, it tries to configure something called 'SmartSound Quicktraks Plugin', which it believes is located in the folder C:\DOCUME~1\root\LOCALS~1\Temp\_is25\. I've never seen this before (including with the same installation of the Flight Logger, and it doesn't help to make a clean reinstall of the program. After cancelling the configuration several times (often making Windows believe it the configuration crashed) the Flight Logger finaly starts, but selecting certain flights, at least H222 makes it crash with the error message:

Run time error '3021':
Either BOF or EOF is True, or the current record has been deleted. Requested operation requires a current record.

Do any of you have any clue what the problem is?

/ Jesper

Hi Jesper,

that's an odd behaviour :|

looks like a spyware or something installed in the meanwhile, but I'm not sure;
if you are using XP, you could try to do a system restore to a date/time previous to the one when things became wrong; you can do that by going to 'Start', 'Help and Support' and then choose 'Undo changes to your computer with System Restore' and follow the wizard.

That's all I can help for now giving the clues.

Keep us informed.

Bye bye

That was also my first though, so I made a scan, but that came out negative.

Meanwhile I have also made a search on the computer, and I actually have a file with the name the configuration program is asking for, although it's unable to use the file. Hovering the curser over the file name reveals it belongs to Pinacle Studio, which I do have installed.

Also, the exact same problem turns up when I launch FSM Moving Map, so maybe it's really an issue with FSUIPC instead.

Anyway, except for the problem with flight H222, then the Flight Logger (and FSM Moving Map) seems to work flawlessly.

Found the error: The airport LLJL of flights H221 and H222 does not exist; it should be LLJR; I'll ask Bruno to change this.

Thank you

Hi

I've installed the new Flightlogger version 2.6.39 and when I run the program I get the following errors:

Microsoft DataGrid Control
Cannot initialize data bindings

and

EHMFLLogger.exe
Run-time error '9':
Subscript out of range

then the program terminates. This happens regardless of MSFlight is running or not.
Hope you can help - or I'll just reinstall v2.6.36 which seems to work fine.

This morning I tried to submit a PIREP for a flight done with a DHC Dash8-Q400 through the Flight Logger. However - even though the plane is in the list of planes - it came back with an error that it wasn't a plane existing in the EHM fleet. Submitting the PIREP through the web page didn't cause any problems though.

Probably just some database that needs to be updated.

(BTW: I updated my local database this morning before the flight, so that's not the problem).

The DHC Dash8-Q400 is still a part of the fleet http://www.euroharmony.com/site/fleet_docs/version2/f_dash8.html
So i can't see why there would have been a problem???
