Hey and over 20% fuel left as well..... The President will be happy and the beers are on you when you get your fuel bonus!
Was the FO at the controls for any amount of time or did you stay awake for the entire flight?
Well Done Bruno.
Cheers

Oow, you mean guy, taking cheap shots like that!:%
I will beat you one day.:D

Hi,
Well I started the flight this midnigh (about 00:30) and landed about 17:00 :) ... So, I got sleeping from 00:00 to 10:30 am ... the rest I was developping on the laptop and the computer at my desk was "flying" :)
What a great flight. It's a different feeling when you are going to land after a 16h flight ... like "Hey, what if something goes wrong now?" :) ..
Regards,
I must say that this is not the longest flight that we have ;) ... I will do the other one this week also :) ...
Regards,

Great stuff Bruno, welcome to my home town Sydney NSW

Great work Bruno.....square eyes?????
-
Square eyes ? ... I don't know what that means ...
But I hope is something because if it's not then I will delete your account. ;D
-
It's a saying if you look at a T.V. or computer to much, your eyes will turn square.
And stop using the threats, it dosn't make you look like a good CEO. ;)
-
Yeah yeah yeah .. stop talking. Go fly lol ...
Well, in that case, my eyes are always square. I develop a lot when I am at home :( ...
;D ... So, I will not delete your account ;D

How kind of you Bruno........
-
You know that you can always count with my kindness.
And now I am talking serious ;) ..
Regards and safe flights.

Only a question Bruno: How did you get to fly a 777 at 150IAS??? I always land with this big boeing at 180IAS and I usually reduce speed only when I am 100m far from the rwy.....:%
-
lol, ive landed the 777 at 138 IAS before, use more flaps, burn your fuel more efficiently etc etc
-
You need to reduce speed because you will not be able to manouver it at 180kts. Just imagine, that with half pax, and with nearly empty fuel tank, the B747-400 can land at 125kts ;) Now, that is a difference. ;D
-
also you are probably setting too much fuel for each journey, therefore more added weight
-
Thanks for suggestions I will try to land at 135kts...I am always scared of stalling so I prefer using all the runway to land that stalling and crashing...:>

Wait .. it's not that simple.
When you use an advanced airplane like the PSS 777 it's not recomended that you trying to land at 135 kts without having a reference speed from the FMC.
Basically what you need to do is to check the Init Performance page and see what VREF does the FMC gives you.
You must always follow that value, because that value is calculated based on the gross weight on the land time.
So, it's not a question of "i will try" but of "is it possible".
So, what you should do, in order to have a good fuel planning is to use the fuel loader of the PSS that will give you a correct value of how many fuel should you load to have a decent VREF.
For instance, the fuel planning should be based on conditions like the distance to the alternate airport, the wind direction and speed at cruise speed, etc etc ...
I can have 150kts but, as Conrad said, if I had more fuel at the landing, I would have a higher VREF than that one.
Hope the info helps.

Ok thanks for the infos I will practice a lot...this is the only thing a pilot can do on his FS2004....:> I hate rod machado and if I meet him I would kill him:@
-
yup, usually plan my fuel so that when i check the reference in my FMC it usually says something around 135 --> 140, also you neednt be scared of stalling as it will tell you at what speed you will stall.
As long as youve got the correct flaps, you'll be ok, and i think we should update the topic as i hold the new record bruno :P
9,891 miles from Katl ----> WIII (took around 22 hours) lol
