I was flying from EGHJ to EGLL (IFR)when the EGLL ATC routed me into Heathrow Runway 27L. It was very cloudy and I had vis of around 1000m when this happened. I thought I was going to hit it for a while. Lucky I was flying a Dornier 228-100 and not something a little faster! Thanks a lot :@ ATC!!! :@

Wow, it was a close one! About 2 miles?
I hate when ATC told me "...traffic from 6 o clock down ! " And that nasty guy even adds to it "... report them in sight !" But how? I do not have mirror ! ;D

lol yeah the atc likes to keep us busy plane spotting :] usually i just dont bother to unless it's at night cause it's rather impossible to spot those planes!

i had a similar experience after takeoff from Athens. A plane on the approach got the go-around just as I lifted off so it started to climb underneath me and it must have passed about 100-200 feet from the nose.

If this was on IVAO/VATSIM then something has to be done about it. 100-200ft away is very close at 200mph. That was a split second away from a crash.:D

speaking of near misses..
just been put on runway 27R departure at Heathrow with a 737 on runway 9L ILS passed each other after takoff.. about 200ft apart..
I didnt even know FS2002 ATC could use multiple runways.. i did ask for a westerly departure though..

Isn't that the same runway but in opposite direction?
