Thanks to Robert and the Fleet Department, our new EuroBusiness Fleet has been released!
The fantastic livery and addition of two different aircraft have not been missed by the aviation media so with kind permission of the publishers, we are able to present you with an extract from the latest edition of "Airlines Today" magazine which features the Challenger 850...
You can download the article here (http://www.fly-euroharmony.com/dominic/Airlines Today cover v46.pdf). We hope you like it :P
(With my acknowledgements to 'Airliner World' magazine which this is loosely based on!)

I like that magazine, very professional :>
-
I like too, it is really professional ! When first time Dom showed me, I thought we are really IN a real sim flight magazine ;D
-
I like it, looks really proffesional
But ehm, is the name of the airport of Zurich still kloten? Kloten means balls in Dutch, so I thought they changed it :P

Where do you obtain a copy of the Airlines Today magazine.
-
At the link given above.
The magazine itself is a fictional one used as promotion material ;)
-
I think Bruce meant the real world magazine ;D

The EuroBusiness Fly-In is coming and some of you may be wondering how to safely fly the steep approach into EGLC...
Well by a lucky chance, the March edition of Airlines Today magazine is just out and contains a feature all about A318's and London City airport :P
You can download your copy here (http://www.fly-euroharmony.com/dominic/Airlines Today March08.pdf)...
Please note that this article is based on real world procedures and a specific auto-flight "steep approach" programme that is not available in MSFS! I have tested the approach in our A318 Elite with the speedbrake handle set manually at about 50% (as spoilers don't seem to raise at all before this setting) and it works well BUT this is an unusual approach and I advise you to practice it a few times until you feel confident.
Do not feel obliged to use the speedbrakes in this way - just make sure your approach is slow enough and you have autobrakes set, spoilers armed and you are ready to engage reverse thrust! The runway IS short so don't float above it.
It's a fantastic approach when you get it right so please... PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE !!
If you do have any questions or feedback on the article or the approach into EGLC, feel free to leave a reply here ;)

That's another great article Dom! Thanks!

That is fantastic mate ;D Are you a journalist / editor in sparetime maybe ? ;D

Somehow the current brake config is not efficient on the BabyBus. Editing the following line in the Aircraft.cfg will surely give more chances to stop:
[brakes]
toe_brakes_scale=1.00
I tried the approach and it is scary !!! 2000', 160kts, flaps down, gears down, the runway is ahead with 4 red lights... then the runway disappears from the horizon "below" us and I am watching the ILS... and it suddenly starts running downward. A/P off, A/T off, bowing, and sinking with an extreme descend rate :P And it is a bit hard to catch her up at the touchdown.

Great March magazine too, keep'em coming :>
Got to love flying Eurobusiness ;D
