Hi, after getting ready for my first flight and downloading the aircraft for FSX i noticed that in the pics on select screen it was the right colour, but in flight it was a sort a silvery colour. is this something wrong in the download or what?
Please help.:D

also, it works fine in the dark, :P

That must be the so-called Alpha channel. It is part of the livery (technically the texture files) and it controls the shinyness/reflection of the airplane surfaces. Many painters realized that FS2004 uses stronger reflections than FS2002 and so the strength of Alpha layer on the textures should be reduced a bit. I guess this is the case with FSX too. As it uses a new reflection engine it is possible that FS2004 textures looks too reflective: silvery with this effect. At night the Alpha channel is ignored by the graphics engine, and is replaced by the night textures only.
Which particular airplane are we talking about ?

That is strange, I have no clear idea. Maybe a videocard bug ?
