F100 Fuel consumption

<< < (2/2)

Spider:
An add - on to the above, I flew at various levels with each of the five flights outlined in the "Holiday Mission M300 series" and the max I seemed to achieve in miles was around the 700NM+ a bit without diverting for a refuel.

EHM-1570 Bruce:
I have had a quick look at the aircraft.cfg file, and the max fuel is correct, the Max gross weight is 3000lbs overweight which should have little effect on the aircraft range, the Empty weight is 22443lbs too high it should be 54557 not 77000, this overweight seems to have been taken out by having Zero payload, this would make the average pax weight approx 209lbs which seems a bit high. None of these differences in weight should dramatically alter the range of the aircraft, I would not take too much notice of what FS9 Flight Planner says with regard to fuel required, if you are going to fly at a range that is close to the max range you should have a full fuel load of 22690lbs.

EHM-1001 Robert:
Hi Dan,

thank you for your continous support on this topic. Unfortunately the fuel usage is different at FS2002 and FS2004, usually FS2004 eats less fuel at the same model than FS2004. It is possible, that the FS2002 designed Fokker-100 got into an unlucky situation, where it uses more fuel. I am not sure now about the Fokker's range but it should be somewhere over 1000 nm only with max payload.

So, if this range issue still disturb you, I can advice a quick fix:
Search for the [GeneralEngineData] section at your F-100 Aircraft.cfg file, and lower the "fuel_flow_scalar=" value to 60-70%

EuroHoliday fleet will be reworked in October according to schedule. When we reach there, I will surely analize and correct this situation. ;) Thank you, and sorry for any inconveniences.

Spider:
Thank you both, Bruce and Roberto. I was not complaining, but rather thought I had identified a concern for other Pilots.

Great to read the responses.

Kind Regards

Dan
