Getting a PEN with PMDG 737NG

Grr... bleedin' PMDG and their not quite doing things the "FS" way...

See, I don't get that problem with Project Magenta because it's STD affects the FS BARO directly (reads from and writes to), rather than some secret internal BARO...

That's why their planes are realistic ;D
Remember the FS Boeings ? Start button, throttle, some lights... yaaaay... Oh my bad, there is a gear lever too :|

EHM-0654 Murray:
Ctrl-E, Period, Throttle, MAKE FLYING! ;D

But PF, lest we forget, there are a good few ATP schools using PM, and it does this the "FS[UIPC] way"... I think what I'm trying to get across is the PMDG, for all the loveliness of their aircraft (I own three out of the four currently available) don't follow the de facto standards of the FS add on community, and it hurts them in the long run.

There are many SimPit builders out there who would dearly love to use the PMDG models with our pit hardware, but while the 737NG model *can* (sort of) be decoupled from the panel software, it's just not possible with the 744:QotS.

EHM-1570 Bruce:
From reading all the various inputs on this subject, it appears that although the PMDG aircraft have the STD button which correctly sets the altimeter, the ProPilot  software seems to be using a key logger, and is looking for the B key to be pressed, if this is the case , you will get penalties if you do not press the B key. My firewall asked for a keylogger access to my PC. Hope this will prevent any further penalties,

EHM-0654 Murray:
Bruce,

Not quite, but close enough. The PMDG software set's it's internal BARO when you click STD, and pressing B shortly thereafter sets the FS BARO (which the PMDG software seems to ignore to some degree) ;D
