I've been wondering about this for a while now...

Does the default MSFS scenery have 'bird tunnels' (the large enclosed tunnels that maneuver out to the door of the aircraft) at major airports? Or do I need to get payware scenery? Thanks!

Oh no ! On the major airports there are ! Have not you tried EGLL, or EHAM, or the big American ports ? They all have.

I've tried them, and I've landed at KJFK, EHAM, EGLL and LPPT frequently but I've never seen them. How do you control them?

Just so that this thread doesn't disappear from the 'Latest Forum Messages' section, does anyone know how to control the bird tunnels? Thanks in advance!!

To the best of my knowledge only payware scenery has moving tunnels and this is normally controlled by setting a specific frequency on one of the radio channels. I'm not aware of any in the default setup of FS9...

Robert said that there was at the major airports, but I wasn't able to find a control for them! That's something for my FSX wishlist :>

remember the FSX in the video of another thread?

there was a 747 at the gate and there were many vehicles moving around it so it would most probably have those aerobridges(i think that's what they call it).

There are gates, or aerobrigades, but those are static objects...those will not move to your airplane. And yes, as Dominic said, in payware sceneries you will find some gates (not all) that have an in-built animation to close on your parked airplane.

I call them docks, so When I say dock, you know what I mean.

No, you can't control Docks. It would be cool if you could though. In World Airports 2 you can to some airports, and the airports that don't have docks, will then have those drivable staircases drive up to you. This is at manchester and Luton, but not ol' heathrow, charles-de-gaulle, and finally, schipol. Here is a list of the Airports they do:

Luton
JFK
Toronto
Frankfurt
Chicago O' Hare
Washington Dulles
Houston Intercontinental
Las Vegas
Dallas fort Worth
Rome
Manchester
Milan

All with docks, Drive me cars, Marshallers and sky chefs.
