You need a working microphone (obviously ;)) and for IVAO I think you need Teamspeak2.

Hope that helps!!

Just to confirm what Ben says;

You'll need TeamSpeak2 (1), the chosen voice client software on IVAO, and the IVAO pilot client software, IvAp (2) (You'll also want the MTL Dynamic Installer from that second page too.)

I use a desk microphone, but the quality is much better on a headset, and its easier to use. You will need to regiseter with IVAO.

Most headsets are like that - headphones are just the speakers, headsets are speakers and microphone together.

Yeah, I use a GeniusNet HS-02N. Not the flashiest headset around but if it's not broke don't fix it. It works well...

Great idea if you don't want to mess around with your FS sound:-

Pick up a copy of SOCOM 2 for PS2 with the Logitech headset. It's USB, so plug'n'pray; that way you can direct your TS2 sound to the USB audio "device" while FS uses your main soundcard. And, cause the Logitech SOCOM headset in mono, you can still hear the FS sound with your "spare" ear! :P
