EuroHarmony VA Forum Terms and Conditions of Use
« on: November 04, 2006, 04:42:05 pm »
Purpose of Forum
The EuroHarmony forum is provided for use by registered members of EuroHarmony Virtual Airline. The goal of this forum is to provide our members and management with a safe and friendly environment within which they can exchange information, news and views.

Forum Topics
The majority of categories are restricted to topics related to Flight Simulation, EuroHarmony or Real World aviation. A separate category is available for topics that do not fall in to the above categories. The management (Forum Moderators and Administrators) reserve the right to move/delete posts or topics
that are deemed to be in violation of the forum rules set out below. Posts/Topics may also be moved or removed if the subject/content does not focus on the topic being discussed or the subject of the board.

Membership
Membership is free and available to all pilots registered with EuroHarmony. Individuals who have broken the forum rules or banned from the Virtual Airline (VA) have no automatic right to re-entry.
The President or CEO may offer membership to individuals or organisations outside of EuroHarmony. All EuroHarmony management team members will be informed of his decision to offer such membership.

Forum content or subject matter
English is the chosen language of the forum and as such all posts should be made in English unless accurate translation is given or approval is gained from a moderator.
Postings of a racist, pornographic, illegal nature, or any other matter that in the opinion of the moderators is likely to cause offence is strictly prohibited. If a member is unsure if a post comes under one of the above categories then he/she should send a private message or U2U to one of the moderators detailing the exact nature of the post. The moderator's decision in such circumstances is final and there is no right of appeal. Should any such subject matter be posted that breaches the above rule then the member will be liable to disciplinary action (see later paragraph).  In addition ‘Flame wars’ are not allowed and individuals or groups taking part in such activities will be liable to disciplinary action.

Use of information gained within the forum
The use of information gained on the forum about an individual for use in harassment or ‘stalking’ will make the member liable to disciplinary action.
Information posted in the forum may not be in the public domain and any reproduction or use of said information can only be made by express permission of the President or CEO of EuroHarmony.

Member identification
All members are required to use a Forum ID that has the pilots identification number and the first name of the member. (for example, EHM0948-Bruno) Any attempt to bypass this rule for the purpose of anonymous posting will render the member liable to disciplinary action and the post liable to deletion.

Signatures
The moderators encourage the use of signature graphics although for reasons of transmission speed (please remember some members only have a dial up connection) and/or server load the following rules are applied:
The entire signature area may not under any circumstance be higher than 180 pixels. It may include up to 2 banner images, not sized any larger than 350 pixels wide by 120 pixels high and are to be no larger than 40kb in size. If two banner graphics are used, they must be placed side by side and not one above the other. The signature must also meet the content rules that apply to the rest of the forum. No pornography, racism, illegal or offensive material will be tolerated.
The company signature banner which depicts your current flight status can be inserted by placing the following line of code in the signature section of your forum profile: (replace xxxx with your own pilot ID, and remove all additional spaces)
Code: [Select]
[ url=http: //www.fly-euroharmony.com][ img ]http: //fly-euroharmony.com/pilots/automatic_image/xxxx.jpeg[/img]
No animated or moving images are allowed to be used in signature banners.
If your signature is in violation of these rules it may be removed by a moderator without prior notice.

Avatars
Members are encouraged to use the approved avatars that correspond to the pilots achievements within the Virtual Airline. External graphics, pictures or references are allowed in the avatar section but these must not exceed 80 Pixels wide by 80 pixels high and are to be no larger than 25kb in size.

Management roles
Management team members of EuroHarmony are tasked with the position of Forum Moderators. As such they will help deal with breaches or potential breaches of the forum rules laid out in this document. Managers may issue warnings to members in a forum thread, by sending personal U2U or by email to individuals in breach of these rules.
As in any real world organisation, management are required to behave in a responsible and mature manner. Any manager breaking the rules laid out in this document will be subject to disciplinary action.
Members are asked to inform management of any potential breach of these forum rules by use of U2U or email to help maintain a useful and friendly environment for all members.

Disciplinary action may take several forms, these include but are not limited to the following:
 • Warning email or private message.
 • Removal of posts, topics or threads.
 • Suspension from the forum.
