DC-3 for regular flights?

(1/2) > >>

EHM-1947 Miko:
Hello,

I know the vintage aircraft were indroduced for special events as far as I could see in the forum - but there are either listed as i.e. class 1 aircraft in the Flogger.

My question: May I do regular flights using the DC-3 (as class 1 aircraft instead of the Beech 1900) and pirep the flight afterwards or is it not allowed?

EHM-0361 Karsten:
Hey Miko,

All aircraft that are in the Museum are for pleasure flying only. So that mean it not allowed.

EHM-1982 Carlos:
One more thing I've learned today, I though the DC-3 to be allowed since it shows up in the Flight Logger :%

So, regular EHM Flights are not for pleasure ;) Interesting point.

OK, then I have to fly it outside EHM.

Hello all,

I am really sorry guys, I hope this doesn't upset anyone and I hate to sound defensive but we utilise a small amount of structure in our airline so that EuroHarmony feels a little like a real world airline. A Real World British Airways captain can not come to work and say"I fancy flying an A340-500 today" as BA do not fly them. He may love the old VC10 or Trident also but he can not fly them either!

I guess what I am trying to say is we have a massive fleet and a huge route network, larger than any real world airline, there must be something in there that attracts you without bending the rules. We all do this for pleasure but does that mean that we can not inject some realism as well?

For technical reasons the DC3 had to be assigned a class when we did the airmail event so it will show up on the flogger, that does not mean you can use it for a division flight. The MD17 shows up on the flogger also but you can not use that for flying PAX from Lisbon to Funchal. The Flight Logger is a fantastic peice of software that we are priveledged to have due to the hard work and commitment of a number of developers, please, lets not confuse this with payware software, I'm afraid there are limitations to it.

Fly the DC3 for pleasure by all means but unfortunately you can not log the hours within the airline until such time that it is used in an event or tour. Please accept our appologies for this.

Thanks.
