Hi Folks:

About to commence with one or the oither Tour, for Greece, the
shortest RW is 2331 feet, for Scandinavia, the shortest RW is
2616 feet. I have tried the 2331RW, with one passenger and 50%
fuel on the Baron 58, seemed to have ample latitude for take-off.

I tried finding the minimum runway for the Baron 58 without any luck.

Any problems for the Baron to take on the above sized Runway
lengths from your experience?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Dan,

Sorry this topic went past me.... You will have to watch your loads at those sort of runway distances. At sea level Runway length for takeoff at MTOW is 2300ft. Of course, if the runway is higher then this goes up. At 5000ft the feild take of length goes up to 4000ft at MTOW.

Here is the specs from the official Baron site:

Hope that helps.

I flew the Tour of Greece last year. Of course, I only took the Cirrus S20 but I encountered no problems regarding runway length at all on takeoff or landing - and I was pretty sloppy in preparing my load weights (sometimes even taking off with a full tank of fuel!!).
