Hello All,

I got this from our CH division site on IVAO.

Quote:
25.03.2007 Sunday – 17:00 UTC

Dear Pilots,
the Swiss Division would like to invite all pilots to join us on flights to and from Zurich.Come and visit the first Zurich FLYINN Event ! We will be providing a full coverage of ATC for Zurich.

Participating pilots can get the "Aviation Celebration Tours and Events Award".The pilot should make at least 2(TWO) flights during this event. Both flights should be flown through the Zurich (LSZH) airport

End Quote

Perhaps it would be a good opportunity for some of us harmony pilots to join.
I, for one, will be there doing a short hop to Bern and back.

Dom, perhaps you'd like to make this a hub event as well?
Contact me if you think I could help.

Sotiris!

It's possible I'll join the event with the flights from LGAV or LJLJ to LSZH and back. Try to help organising this event as LSZH Fly In.

Peter,

remember that to get their award you need two flights at LSZH. i.e. One outbound and one return.
See you in the skies :]

Gents,

This sounds like an interesting event and a great opportunity for LSZH pilots to fly together :P

However, the EHM Zurich flyin needs a bit of planning first to ensure as many of our pilots as possible can take part - I am looking to get this organized with Murray & Christian's help but to ensure everyone has the chance to take part it will not be for a few weeks yet...

I hope the IVAO event goes well, keep us all updated ;) And I may ask for your assistance with the official event once we have planned it a bit more :P

Thanks for the post!

Funnily enough, what with this and that in the real-world, the Online dept has no event planned for this month, and this IVAO-CH is the perfect opportunity to have most of the hard work done (I was hoping to hook onto an IVAO event anyway...)

What would people think of something like Berlin->Zurich/Zurich->Athens (or a destination a little closer for the second leg)

Murray. Very good idea. For the second leg I would like to offer LJLJ as the final destination. It's nice airport to land and usualy fully covered by ATC for weekends.

Gotscha Peter!!

You only say that 'cause you can land at LJLJ blindfolded and with your hands tied behind your back ;D ;D ;D

This sounds like a great idea, if this event can be tied in to the Online Flying Event for the month.

The suggested route to LJLJ has my support, what do the rest of LSZH pilots think? Any other suggestions to take advantage of good ATC coverage?

Hi Dom,

it looks a little on the long side (4+ hours?) for me on that Sunday night so I'm definitely IN even though I may only do one of the legs (probably Peter's favourite).

Sotiris, leg length is a concern. How about we make it Malpensa->Zurich->LJLJ?

As said earlier,

I'm in and esp. with the shorter legs, I'll be there for both legs.
See you all up there!

KK... I'll set this in stone this afternoon (make the event page etc. using the fly-in manager, announce it on the Fly-In forum)

UPDATE: Online Event page is up! Go to Pilots/Online on the main website and register for the event if you want to...

Thanks very much for setting that up Murray :P

So, fellow Zurich pilots, who's in? Let us know if you plan to take part in the Event and show our colleagues why Zurich is the best airport and the best Hub ;D

I have signed up for this event my first fly in.I decided to do a quick recce today to find out what i had let myself in for. After figuring out the sids/transitions for LIMC in my 737-800 PMDG i was up and away. Then when i got up to cruise and decided to checkout the arrivals at LSZH i found non were available no runways nothing ?
I have the latest cycle from Navigraph and i checked out the Navdata site for LSZH but nothing available for LSZH.

Any ideas please

Steve

Do you have NDAC? Look it all up in there, and manually program the FMC.
