Airport LSPU missing from FS2004!!
« on: April 12, 2007, 10:13:31 am »
I locked a Euro-Cargo flight from LSZH to LSPU yesterday, of course looking at the closest proximity to LSZH to do my first cargo flight and was shocked to see that there was no such airport registered in my FS2004 for LSPU. I started the flight and thought I was flying to LSPU and then realized that it was flying to LSPV which got selected automatically when I was making the flight plan in FS2004.

How do I get this airport, I looked for Scenery for this airport but nothing. I also tried looking at the correct latitude and longitude if i could see anything, but there was no airstrip close to that location, except for a airport, I think its LSMC which is the nearest, can I land in LSMC and complete this flight.

Secondly is there any penalty for not flying a locked flight?

Hi Vincent,

i don't know much about the LSPU problem but there is no penalty for not flying a locked flight. you can go to the "pilot information" page in PP and unlock the flight, if not, it will automatically unlock itself after 48 hrs :)

Thanks Xavier for your reply. Are you having the airport on your FS 2004 Airport list? I thought that there may be some scenery that needed to be loaded, but hunting for that did not yield any results either.

I will go ahead and unlock the flight I guess :D and try and fly on some other route!

Thanks once again!

I just searched but i did not find any airport code LSPU in my FS and no results showed up when i searched "LSPU" on flightsim.com, maybe its supposed to be another airport, maybe a typo error?

Sorry guys, another post I missed... I think this is almost certainly an error so I'll flag it up in the MT Forum and let you know the result ;)

I've done a bit more searching on Google and it looks like this airport does exist in the real world after all ;)

Have a look here: http://www.flugplatzmuenster.ch/

My German is extremely basic so perhaps one of you could translate for me..? I assume from the picture and what little German I can decipher that this is a small airfield, possibly for gliding?? One page seems to indicate the runway is 800 metres long??

So I don't know whether our EuroCargo BAe 146's would be ok to land/take-off here... ;D

Hi Dominic,

Yeah very true, infact after the lost airport :> LSPU on FS 2004, I thought of doing a google immediately and saw that it very much existed and was very close to another airport (within 2 nm) LSMC.

I guess we got to send a mail to MS FS so that they dont miss this one on the next versions or a scenery and add-on patch to incorporate this small airport!!
