The Airport of Faro received the Medal from Tourist Merit Degree Gold for the Region of Tourism of the Algarve.
This distinction translates the recognition of its paper of “great booster of the tourism in the region, favoring the tourist activity”.
With effect, it enters the 58,600 registered passengers in 1966 (first year of complete operation) and the 5.089.000 registered in 2006, the Airport of Faro already received 92 million passengers.
The Airport of Faro has known how to equip itself in order to serve with quality and increasing security the traffic that the demand, being, therefore, prepared to make face to the challenges taxes for its growth.
The reward now attributed comes, without a doubt, to recognize its paper to it of basic pillar in the development of the Tourism of the Algarve.
