How do you get time for landing videos/photos?
« on: March 13, 2008, 08:33:51 pm »
I want to take some landing pictures and perhaps make a video of it. However, during the approach I am so busy with all (even worse with ATC) that I have no time to go outside the cockpit to enjoy the view and take a snapshot.

How do you guys do it without PAUSING and getting a pause penalty?

Hello mate,

there's a couple of tricks.
1 - Do the snapshots offline
2 - Approach snaps or parked snaps are no problem. Just finish off your online session, disconnect and replay appropriately
3 - Use fraps or other quivalent for real time video capture
4 - Record your flight so it can be played later using a variety of angles, cameras etc.

I use Instant Replay, but make sure you are logged off from the network when replaying!
