Well on my case I made a go around too :) .. If you notice the clock on the ND it shows 14:41 then 14:55 ;D

According to maps, we should not slide so much over the monument. ;D I targeted it too... but the river traction should have followed (crossing bridge by bridge) with a very steep turn before final.

The VOR APP RYW 19 would be ok on day time or with high ceiling because the ground references are visible. In my case I was at dark (2200 hrs local) and could land on ILS RWY01 because the wind was 160/08 so the tailwind component was about 6kts. But in case it were beyond this limit, I was ready to go to KIAD or the Andrews AFB where the president guests normally land due to security reasons.
Today I tried at daytime LLZ-19 (LDA-ROSSLYN) approach and had also to go around the first time. It's not an easy task. That's why in real life KDCA only accepts Medium Size ACFTs (B752).

EHM-1001 Robert:
I tried the takeoff and I am not happy. I succeeded but the beast lift-off from the threshold. I took her up at 160 kts which is not ideal. Anyway I will try it under PP at the weekend and we'll see.
