« on: May 15, 2009, 12:12:32 am »
Hello everybody.

I have FSX.
I have installed several Euroharmony FSX compatible aircraft, for instance the Embraer 170.

Everything is fine, panel lights, physics exept that the outside of the plane is pitch white, completly white.
The euroharmony paint, coulour etc... is not there.

Any ideas of how to fix this? Smeone that has the same problem join the forum please.

Help!!! Any resolution???

Thanks
David Mendes

David,

I'm afraid that as I do not have FSX I am not sure how the aircraft folders are structured compared to FS2004 but I have read some threads in FS site forums about problems with textures when using FSX depending on what version you use... So, are you using the original FSX, the one with SP2, the one with Acceleration..? I can't answer your question but this information might give some clues to other pilots who do use FSX ;)

Otherwise the first things I would check for if this was happening in FS2004 would be that you have a texture folder in the relevant aircraft folder within your FSX directory and that there are files in that folder (the specific textures for the plane you have chosen) and that the name of that folder is the same as that shown in the aircraft.cfg file under the line "texture=" (Please could any FSX pilots correct this if the structure is totally different...)

Alexander, thankyou very much for the tip, it helped a lot. So if anyone has the same problem, follow Alexander's advise and switch off the directx10 preview.

David
