Affordable x-plane cockpit:

1. Grab a projector for the main display

2. Purchase between 1 and 4 (for now) ipads

3. Grab the following ipad EFIS app from laminar http://itunes.apple.com/app/efis-app-for-ipad/id385683263?mt=8

4. Velcro your ipads behind a simple mdf panel you make and bada bing, easy home cockpit

(as a bonus you can also use an iphone for moving map http://itunes.apple.com/au/app/igmap-fswidgets-moving-map/id379872511?mt=8 )
