Tupolev 204 VIP falls backwards at FS9 startup
« on: December 01, 2011, 06:08:14 pm »
When I want to start a new flight with the Tupolev 204 VIP, the plane falls backwards (nose up). Anybody has a clue?
It happens right after the screen is loaded.

Hello,

it must be something with the balance of the aircraft. When you configure the fuel and payload, always check the little aircraft center of gravity symbol. The center of gravity must be as forward as possible. If you see the black-white dot is too far at the tail, your aircraft is tail heavy and this will happen.

I tried to load the aircraft without editing the payload and this problem did not occur. Are you using the proper aircraft.cfg file ?

Weird Russians ...  ;D :o ???

I've seen some bouncing around after changing planes, but never as bad as this example. Especially not with a tail section going underground ... It has to do with the definition of the contact points, and the location of the centre of gravity, I think.

Does it stay in that upright position?
is this after changing planes or only every time you start up FS?
Can you change to a 747 and back to see if this still happens? And if it doesn't, then save the scene as the startup scene and try styrting up all over a couple of times.

Thx for the help, weight and balance sounds logic to me.
I started the figuration of the flight from scrap.
100% fuel eand changed nothing concerning the payload, all went ok.
then I changed teh payload exactly I did the first time, and believe it or not, all went ok, the aircraft remained on his feet.

eind goed al goed, we say in dutch.

Weird situation, but anyway, thx for the help.
