Tropical Traders PP Event begins on the 21st!
EHM-1465 Dominic:
Thanks for the feedback Peter and Andy, glad you're looking forward to the Event :)
Anyone not too familiar with DC-3 operating techniques will find some useful material on the MAAM-SIM website - their DC-3 is a fantastic payware version for MSFS - and they are kind enough to provide lots of free downloads of operating manuals and videos that show you how pilots operate the real plane so even DC-3 buffs will find something they didn't know about here ;)
EHM-2589 David:
Thanks Peter for the Doodle

but only a stupid question the times are in GMT/zulu or local, thanks anyway :)
EHM-2387 Eric-Jan:
It used to be so that you could select a time zone for yourself so that you can fill in in your local time. But now I don't see that selection anymore.
Could it be that Doodle selects your time zone, based on your browser reporting your location?
{EDIT} In the Doodle help file I read:
--- Quote --- Enabling time-zone support
When scheduling an event with classic view (basic calendar):
At Wizard Step 2 (after selecting the dates and clicking "Next") you see a link "Enable time-zone support" (above time fields). Click this link to activate time-zone support.
When scheduling an event with calendar view:
At Wizard Step 2 you see a pull down with the time-zones above the calendar grid. Time-zone support is already activated. You can change the time-zone here manually. So do check if your correct time-zone is shown!
Doodle will automatically select the time zone corresponding to a participant's location (IP-Address) but allows to manually change it afterwards. With the iPhone App the time-zone support is activated automatically as well.
--- End quote ---
:)
EHM-2589 David:
Still the possibility to select time zone, but must have an account and free until now ;D
EHM-1838 Andrew:
If you are interested in the DC3 then you should visit The DC3 Hanger http://www.douglasdc3.com/index.html There are all sorts of luvvly things for you DC3 enjoyment i.e. alternative panels (equipped with updated autopilot ,radios etc ,IFR capable) if you find the default autoP a bit hard to workout.
You can get some stonking good sounds ,and even flame and smoke effects for your aircraft on startup.
The sounds are particularly memorable.
All this stuff is for the default FS9 DC3
(as far as i know)
cheers Andy ;)
