Crowded Skies - the biggest event ever
« on: December 08, 2004, 09:16:07 pm »
Crowded Skies is the Biggest Event ever to be organised on IVAO. During that night, the whole Europe will be covered by its Enroute Centers; with major airports of each participating divisions being fully staffed.

The main aim of Crowded Skies is to set a new record for simultaneous connections on the IVAO Network. This event will also give you the opportunity to test your skills in demanding conditions and to test IVAOs' new software.

We are looking forward for more than 1000 simulataneous connections.

Are we as Euroharmony going to fly togehter? It may be a nice iade if everyone flew from his own hub to a central destination.

I will be controlling Hungary as I'm responsible for the ATC there as HU-DIR. What about a fly-in to Hungary?

I should be free. I also like the idea of flying from your HUB and trying to time to meet up with everyone at Hungary somewhere.

If you want we can also leave togehter from somewhere. I myself might leave from EGLL rather then EHAM.  I'm not sure how far it is however but I plan on leaving 19.30Z or a little bit before that. Everyone who wants is welcome to join ofcourse!

NOrmally I would try to control as EGLL_APP but my exam is still validating so I will fly instead. ( Gergely if you know any way of speeding up the validation lpease feel free to do so;D )

Murray's flightplan services...

For all you EGLLers out there, here is the route that RouteFinder threw at me today. As I used the daily CRAM, there may be bits of this route that do not apply on week days, so I'll be checking the route on Monday and modifying as necessary...

EGLL SID DVR UL9 KONAN UL607 AMASI UM149 BOMBI UL984 SULUS UZ650 VEMUT UZ37 RINIG UL175 STO UY33 TAVSO DCT LHBP

FSNav tells me that the route (without SID/STAR) is 816nm and ETE is 1:49:34 (at FL350). Expect DVR5F if 27R is active dep, DVR6K if 09L is active dep (both of which are in the PMDG FMC SID/STAR package). Thanks to the majesty and wonder that is FSNav, here are the links to the downloadable FPs in FS200X format, FSNavigator format and PMDG 737NG/PIC format.

(Style "borrowed" from Alex ;))

FURTHER EDIT: Actually flew my FP online today to test it (in the PMDG 737-800 at FL370). For those that don't already know, this flight is EHM-6010. It took me 2:10 with todays METAR (fair, not  too much wind at altitude...)

This is what Route finder said about LPPT-LHBP.

LPPT SID MOMAS UN870 RBO UL184 LARDA UN871 TULSI UL725 GAMLI UL605 SIRDU UY52 VEBOS DCT LHBP

For those interested in flying from LPPT total distance is 1395.0 nm, without SID/STAR.

Charts for LPPT here.

Recomend SID MOMAS 9N, since rw03 is the une usually used.

Cheers and hope to see you all at LHBP!

Alex;)

Hi Alex,

I am going to depart about 19:00 / 19:15 GMT time.

Because the flight is about 2 hours and a half, i need to get online earlier to grab all the ATC's till there ;) .... And Hungary have 2 or 3 hours difference from here in portugal.....

Just to confirm, the FP I detailed above for EGLL-LHBP is correct as shown.

You'll need to be cruising above or below FL270 (FL290 or above, FL250 or below...) for the route to be valid. There's a RAD restriction on UL607 KONAN-MATUG prohibiting traffic at FL270.

Hmmm ok, not the required class to have an official flight arriving at Budapest.
Too bad, I'm hearing our CEO controlling on teamspeak, and have installed all the stuff to fly on ivao. Next time...

What do You mean by not having required class? I'm not aware of restrictions and I can see several members of SFO and FFO flying. What is the error message You get? Did You install the latest ivap?

Maabaa,

I'm sure no-one in management will get upset if you fly a flight outside your class, especially as we are treating this as a fly-in (bit late, given I just closed down FS having finished my flight to Budapest...)

Any way, thanks to everyone from 'Harmony that flew tonight, especially those that made it to Budapest c.2200Z (or were just leaving, Dimitris). Big thanks to Gergely and the rest of the IVAO-HU service team for the impeccable service (as usual) and my apologies to you all for the mess left over by LOVV_CTR loosing his connection and my FS deciding it was PowerPoint on final approach; swear to Bob it became a slide show... I was lucky if I was getting 1fps.
