Last evening our online flying group had a small discussion about Microsoft's new OS, Windows 10 and possible consequences for the flight simulator.
I mentioned that I followed the experiences of Tom Tsui, who's reviews can be found on this site (amongst much other interesting flight sim stuff): https://fsxtimes.wordpress.com
If you're planning to update your Windows 7 or 8, I strongly can advise you to visit this site. So far I'm still running FSX under W8.1 (running perfectly) and will postpone the update until all the problems are solved.

Windows 10 is so shi$3y for games, I just can't find the word to describe how much. Blah.

I'll give it a try then: absolutely no problems with Windows 10 whatso ever, on the contrary it's the most stable OS I've experienced all those years starting from DOS, Windows XP etc. You must be doing something wrong obviously.
Perhaps you should give it another try?... with a little help from some friends, perhaps?

Do the Windows 10 updates impact the simulator in any way? I've read that they can be so annoying sometimes since they often times break stuff.
