Hi guys,
Reinstalled Flightlogger but when I log into the FL it dosn't work. It comes up with something about "data strings" and an error 9.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
-
I'm sorry I don't have any ideas about that Tim, I just wanted to continue posting about my own FLogger problems.
"Run-time error '94', Invalid use of null"
What does that mean?

Sorry guys, can I just confirm you have both exhuasted the other posts about FL problems in particular the registering of msbind.dll?

to reregister msbind do the following:
goto start, run.
type:
regsvr32.exe "D:\Program Files\EuroHarmony\EuroHarmony Flight Logger\MSBIND.DLL"
You need to replace the path to the location where you actualy installed the program. When all is ok it will pop up a box telling registration of the dll was succesfull. This should solve the subscript out of range problem.
Can be found in the following post: http://www.fly-euroharmony.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=1595
Also do you have Microsoft Office installed or not?
Thanks,
-
Yes Phil, I have tried that particular solution twice, but no such luck. Sorry for complaining so much about this :$
And yes, I do have Microsoft Office installed

Ben,
Right... try this if you would please:-
1. Unregister the MSBIND.DLL (regsrv32 /u msbind.dll). Do this two or three times to be sure, and wait after every running until you get a "successful" dialog before starting the next. Obviously, you will eventually get an "unsuccessful" dialog because the DLL will no longer be registered at some point.
2. Register the Flight Logger MSBIND.DLL *only* (as per Cyriel's post).
3. Try the FLogger (and let us know how you get on...)

Obvious suggestion Tim - download v3.0.6 off the main page (again), and do an "over the top" installation (reinstall without deinstalling first, or as I like to think of them, the MS Windows Repair Cycle ;)).

Ben,
I can remember seeing in another posting that Bruno said he meant your problem might relate to your HUB, and he asked you to try and transfer to another hub to see if that changed anything. Have you tried this?

Ooh, very good point... The FLogger may not know about KATL yet...
Ben, try this first, before following my suggestion.

Thanks for the sugestions guys.
I will try them when I get back in abouts a weeks time.
I can't seem to register the '.dll' file, most likely becuase I'm on the other partition.
-
Wow, it worked!!!! I can't believe it!
I transferred from KATL back to Heathrow, and it works all of a sudden!!!
How long will it take for the Flight Logger to recognize KATL?
Thanks everyone! I hope its not too late to fly the Airmail event... ;D
-
Hi,
We are already working on a new Flight Logger version to resolve this problem.
Regards.
-
Thanks Bruno, I'm looking forward to moving back too good ol' KATL
-
Still not working!
I dont have MS Office installed.

I also have the 'cannot intialize data bindings' followed by runtime error 9 subscript out of range problem.
Access installed and msbind.dll registered but that did not help.
** edit **
After reading a bit on a visual basic forum I tried to register: MSSTDFMT.DLL
And now I am looking at a nice timetable, so i suggest that when you register MSBIND.DLL you also register MSSTDFMT.DLL
-
LOL I do not have MSBIND.DLL on my machine but the logger just works well. Although I have the MSSTDFMT.DLL. It is dated as 2000, so it should be a quite old file ;)
-
Check out if you have the following files in the correct place: ;)

Hello everyone,
a few days ago I had a problem with my pc and had to reformat the hard disk.
After installing the main applications (Win XP, SP3, AVG and internet etc.) I installed FLogger.
When starting FLogger, I got the warning "Microsoft DataGrid Control > Cannot initialize data binding" and then "EHMFLLogger.exe > Run-time error '9': Subscript out of range".
So, after reading this forum I ran the following:
regsvr32.exe "C:\Programmi\EuroHarmony\Flight Logger ProPilot\MSBIND.DLL
and
regsvr32.exe "C:\Programmi\EuroHarmony\Flight Logger ProPilot\MSSTDFMT.DLL
which fixed the problem.
This is just to thank you (and Paul, of course).
Safe flights to everyone !
