Hi there,
Javier and I got this idea from another forum. I will post a picture of an airport and give you a clue as to where it is, and whoever guesses the airport correctly posts a picture of another airport.
So, here is a picture I have taken. Obviously, it has two runways. Wierd grass patterns! Once you get guessing, the clues will come...

Have fun!
-
hehehe...its...i won't tell since i already know...;)
-
can it be like we can have 10 questions?
-
Em....what is the clue???
-

Well that was a waste of the first question... :P
-
i'll help with the clue, Ben.(since i already know;))
written above
once you get guessing, the clues will come
actually, we were expecting you guys to guess the continent, maybe someone gets it wrong and so will work closer to the airport.
but anyway, the clue is : in europe

LOL!! Sorry, Javier will be giving the clues!
-
Budapest LHBP?
-
this is tuff, is it in Germany ?
-
both wrong but getting closer to this airport.
-
LYBE Belgrade???
-
Wrong, it have only 1 RWY ;)
-
Ok, second clue (pretty much giving it away): Airbus
-
**BO maybe???:P:P:P:P:P:P
-
Toulouse home of Airbus ?
-
That's right, the one and only LFBO!! So Steve, now it's your turn to post an airport (sorry Alex!)
-
Try this it's quite easy
.
A photo taken on holiday earlier this year of the real thing
(http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y230/spmitch/airport2.jpg)
-
I'm assuming this is in the UK somewhere?
-
Nope;D
-
erm...somewhere in spain. Am i right?
-
Nope not even the right continent ;D
-
second guess in a couple of minutes, canada?
-
Correct ;D
and now it is easy
-
I would be guessing it's somewhere on the world tour?
-

hooray! lol;D i have no idea what airport is that though...
-
Don't know i have not looked at the world tour.
I will leave you to think about it im off to bed now i have been up all night (night shift):o
-
is it St. John's international, ICAO: CYYT?
-
CYTZ Toronto City Centre
-
I think you got it Razza:@
-
Correct ;D
Photo taken from the CN tower.
You win a free VIRTUAL flight to anywhere in the world :]
-
erm...since razza is away, anyone want to take his place? or wait for him to come back?
-
If he doesn't come back, I'll do one if you like.
-
(http://img457.imageshack.us/img457/4404/fsscr255lp1.jpg)
-
I think it is LIRF Rome from a strange view ;) I remember the cargo terminals on the top, when I were flying here with the MD-17 ;D
-
:p Yes, your right!
-
Then here is the next one ;)
-
Is it in Britain?
-

Nope!
The tower looks like the one from AMS, but there would be alot more buildings.
-
I am sorry it was shot from a bad angle...it can be difficult. Just imagine the brown parts are the 2 legs of the tower...maybe it helps ;)
-
could you take a pic of it that shows most of the airport? It is quite hard to see from this picture.
my guess is USA?
-
KBOS!
-
Nope, it is in Central Europe ;)
-
Just a shot in the dark, LHBP
-
If it's not LHBP, I would put my guess in Hungary?
-
nice tower! and once again, i have no idea where the airport is lol
-
1:0 to Karsten, it is my hometown's airport: LHBP ;)
-
Okay guess it my turn. Heres an easy one for you guys
(http://img230.imageshack.us/img230/4200/airport111yj4.jpg) (http://imageshack.us)
-
Is it in Scandinavia?
-
Yes that's correct
-
Norway?
-
Yep, it's in Norway
-
Is it Tromso Lagnes? dont know the ICAO but the IATA is TOS
-
Yes we have a winner, like I said it was an easy one, because we have flight to that airport, ICAO is ENTC.
-
ok, here is the next one, don't know if this should be considered easy or difficult...
good luck!
-
Liverpool EGGP
-
I think it is going to be very difficult for me.....I dn't understand the ground scenery....but I try to guess that it is in North America.....:|
-
http://uk.geocities.com/derbosoft/
I have the scenery on my PC;D
-
;D;D Too easy for you Razza!!!! ;D;D
-
argh! what a give away(to Razza)! btw, I saw on Google Earth that the left end of the taxiway led to some whats looks like closed down runways and terminal. Anyone know anything about that?
I could have given it away even more had i used my Liverpool FC 737:]
Liverpool FC!;D
-
(http://img104.imageshack.us/img104/6893/aeropuertofd7.jpg)
EASY!!
-
KATL! right??
btw, that scenery you got is exactly the same as the one i already have...
-
Yeah Ksea for sure (75%)
-
I bet for KATL. :% It´s impossible that is KSEA because it only has 2 RWYs, and neither KLAX because the terminal building is not the L.A. one.
-
Well, if it's from your Sunday travails Razza, chances are it's K??? (don't want to spoil it for those that weren't there... but it it where you and Tim departed from? I have to say, it does look very like KATL if it is where you departed.)
-
yup...KATL it is...told you it was easy...even Javier got it! Well done mate
-
Next one(2 in 1 day;D) Maybe easy, maybe hard.
not a very big clue but there is one PP plane at this airport.
-
Tokyo, Narita ?
-
Seoul?
-
Actually take that back, Signapore WASS.
-
Actually take that back, Signapore WSSS.
-
Alex is correct! Changi Int'l Airport, Singapore
ICAO:WSSS(my home airport;D)
Your turn
-
My turn... Ok first hint, check the skyline...
Sorry its blurry.
-
Ive never seen that skyline anywhere lol:P USA?
-
I don't know....the airplane company is impossible to identificate....but I'm with Javier...
-
Why hard ??? They are all Southwest airplanes :) Maybe it is their HUB ? Maybe Dallas-Fort Worth, KDFW?
-
You are getting close, yes USA, yes Southwest, however check the rw configurations, that is not KDFW.
-
Hmm, it could look a bit like KDAL, Dallas Love Field Airport
-
I think you may have got it, Karsten
-
Ding ding ding!!! We have a winner, KDAL it is.
Your turn Karsten:8
-
Okay Gentleman, next challenge. I'm not going to give any clues yet, because I know you are so good at this. So here you go, and yes I know I'm mean.
-
Must be Europe, italy?
-
No, it's not italy, and I'm going to be a bit more nice and say, it's not in Europe.
-
This is a long shot, but KMIA Miami Intl?
-
You are right Ben, that was a very very long shot, and you missed
-
I think maybe something like notrh africa but I am tryin to guess....:>
-
I think it is on the Caribbean Sea, but do not have a correct answer.
-
Well guys both are really good guess. But it not in those areas.
-
South America? maybe Brazil?
-
....let me think....it is not in Europe, notrh africa and caribbean area...so such a nice weather can be both in South America, maybe Argentina and in eastern Asia, something like Thailand...Phuket??? It is a small airport, small parkings and there isn't traffic...:%
Paolo Mazzoleni EHM-1612
-
Well, it may look small. But if there where traffic on this shot it would have been A340-300.
But we are not in any of those areas.
A clue is: We are not in Europe, but you could think you where in Europe
-
Oooh, getting cryptic now! ;D
It's a major international airport that's not South America, Europe, North Africa, the U.S. or the Carribbean... and it resembles Europe.
Sea, mountains - Central America? Mediterranean?
-
Asia??
-
If we can expect A340s, then maybe it is a French territory somewhere outside the mentioned areas :)
-
New Caledonia?
-
I think it's very wise to follow what Robert said.
-
Ok forget that suggestion :P
-
Well, if I were guessing, I'd be thinking Indo-China, but to the best of my memory, there aren't any current French colonies that side of the globe... Plenty of former French colonies however...
-
No Ben it not New Caledonia. But we are getting closer.
-
Ooh... That makes thing interesting, Karsten...
Would I be right in thinking the aircraft is flying pretty much easterly? Making that a north/northwest coastline...
-
That would be Tahiti NTAA.
-
Yeah 2 points to Alex. The correct answer is Tahiti, NTAA which is in region called French Polynesia. That's where the european thing comes in.
-
OK gents... it's getting hard to choose airports... I hope we continue with the good variety we have until now.
Here's an airport included in the EHM timetables, and where a good friend of mine is from (not a clue, believe me:) )
No more clues for now. ;)
-
Ibiza???
-
im guessing that the plane is a clue?
or maybe its an island airport?
-
It is not an Island airport and is not in Ibiza, the plane is not a clue:)
-
Italy?? I really imagine that this is in the mediterrean, maybe greece
-
The mass of water you see is not the mediterranean.
-
hmm... the pacific or the atlantic? lol
-
I'm thinking about Rabat or Casablanca...:|
Paolo Mazzoleni EHM-1612
-
Wrong!!! It could be considered Atlantic... however not 100%.
-
Caribbean?
-
my guess would be in the Azores, Atlantic Ocean, and the Iberia A343 and KLM suggest a European link...
-
However not 100%???? Maybe Cape town for Cape of Good Hope...but I'm sure it is wrong....not 100%....mmmmm.....Tenerife?:%
-
Hmm, yes, the Azores...
-
Ben's 1st guess was correct, it is in the caribbean.
-
Cuba?
-
Antonio Maceo Airport?
-
Nope, not Cuba, and not Antonio Maceo (I am not sure what airport you are reffering to)
-
A hint, it is the capital city airport of whatever country it is in. And we have class 7 flights to this airport as well.
-
Haiti MTPP???? This is the last.....I'm going mad....:)
-
AHA!!!! Finally after searching the entire South and central America, i have found the airport! maybe?
Venezuela's Simon Bolivar International Airport ICAO (not sure) SVMI?
-
Yes!!! We have a winner, Javier, you are correct!
BTW I never imagined it would be that hard to get this one...
Your turn.
-
Yay! Next...
also a class 7 flight departure and destination airport
-
hmm...maybe more clues?

-
Is it in North America, Central America or Europe?
-

Just wondering if it was in any of those places in the northern hemisphere, I know it was pretty vague, but now we know it's not in any ove those places...
Is it in East Asia?
-
correct
-
Lol, it's not Singapore WSSS, is it? ;)
-
nah, i already posted WSSS before, check above;)
but you are so d**n close! it used to be civilian airport, now its a Air base
-
Ooooh! What's the name of that other one, it begins with 'S'.... Seletar?
-
correct name but...
wrong airport. Seletar is Singapore's first Airport;D
-
This is frustrating... Changi?
-
in case you didnt know, WSSS is Changi:]
-
Lol. It must be Paya Lebar!
-
lol, it must be correct! *cough*finally*cough*
-
Ok, so after much pushing and grunting, I got the answer out. The next in our series is...
First clue: Near this country's capital.
-
Umm, is this topic dead? Lol ;)
-
No idea, but I liked the real photo of the runway ... its really cool. Good photo and good timing too :-) Coming back to the airport ... let me think ...
-
Washington National?
-
Very fun and nice idea, but this topic is dead? :(
C'mon guys, let's go again. I will edit 2 different airport to this message soon. Let's start guessing again.
Edit:
1) (http://xs217.xs.to/xs217/07284/DontTryThis.jpg.xs.jpg) (http://xs.to/xs.php?h=xs217&d=07284&f=DontTryThis.jpg)
2) (http://xs217.xs.to/xs217/07284/DontTryThis2.jpg.xs.jpg) (http://xs.to/xs.php?h=xs217&d=07284&f=DontTryThis2.jpg) <-- This one just don't have anything else than this one runway.
And few first clues:
-Both are in the same country, and in close range of each other
-Only one of these airports is in Euroharmony's timetable
-And one of these airports is in an island.
