Title: Hungary 25/24 hour event on IVAO
Post by: EHM-0001 Gergely on October 24, 2006, 09:16:50 am
Hi,

For our second year anniversary, we will organize a full-day event, starting at 0800Z (10:00 local time) on Saturday 28th October and ending at 10:00 a day later.

Our goal is to celebrate our anniversary by attracting as much traffic as possible to our airspace in this one-day period, providing professional controlling to all our visitors. Our controllers will provide services from a specific place - a classroom in a Budapest high school will be our air traffic control center. At least 3 positions will be occupied non-stop and we intend to staff up to 8 positions in the evening rush hour. Apart from the radar screens, we will use other computers for coordination, information processing and providing live news; and we will have two projectors showing IvAi TWR view and IvAe info.

The main airport where the traffic would be concentrated is LHBP Budapest Ferihegy, however we welcome traffic to smaller airports too (LHDC, LHSM).

Pilots participating will receive the Hungarian Aviation Celebration Award - our acknowledgement so You can always remember that You helped us organizing our largest event yet. Participating requires only a flight to/from Hungary, preferably Budapest LHBP. I wish if all EHM IVAO pilots could fly at least once in out airspace this day.

"Those nasty zig-zaggy STARs" are dead easy for those of use that know and love the southerly approaches into Heathrow...

I will have you zigzagging only if there will be a LOT of traffic and rwy 13 in use... otherwise i prefer vectoring, less delay... ;D
