Title: Tour of the danube FSX ICAO changes
Post by: C6VC on July 01, 2009, 10:37:50 pm
Most of the airports are the same, but you'll have some issues if you always enter flight plans by ICAO- here's a quick list to make flight planning a little easier!

EHM-A501  Donaueschingen-Villingen (EDTD) - Erbach (EDNE)
EHM-A502  Erbach (EDNE) - Ingolstadt (ETSI)
EHM-A503  Ingolstadt (ETSI) - Regensburg (EDNR)
EHM-A504  Regensburg (EDNR) - Deggendorf (EDMW)
EHM-A505  Deggendorf (EDMW) - Linz (LOWL)
EHM-A506  Linz (LOWL) - Vienna (LOWW)
EHM-A507  Vienna (LOWW) - Bratislava (LZIB)
EHM-A508  Bratislava (LZIB) - Budapest (LHBP)
EHM-A509  Budapest (LHBP) - Belgrade (LYBE)
EHM-A510  Belgrade (LYBE) - Vidin Smurdan (LB40)
EHM-A511  Vidin Smurdan (LB40) - Dolna Mitropoliya (LB41)
EHM-A512  Dolna Mitropoliya (LB41) - Silistra (LB12)
EHM-A513 Silistra (LB12) - Fetesti (LR80)
EHM-A514  Fetesti (LR80) - Tulcea (LRTC)

Hope this helps!

Many, many thanks for this Kevin. It's fine work like this just makes me all the more keen to get your Flight Logger/Vista problems figured out and fixed so you can play an even more active part in the VA. ;)

Funnily enough, this particular problem (ICAO changes between FS versions/ICAO errors in the timetable) is an issue that Andrei and I have just started working on. We're looking to "fix" it in the next flight logger by always listing the codes you need to look for in the version of FS you're actually running, rather than relying on manually specifying the changes in the tour/event/forum.

I'll give that a try tonight when I fly the last leg of the tour- Thanks! I'm looking forward to being more useful, as well as flying online; I haven't really dug into the IVAO stuff yet, I'm text only (no voice) and it seems quite daunting to set up.

Flying online isn't all that difficult (especially if you only have the one computer to run everything on... once you start adding in second and third computers it gets interesting...) When you are ready to take the plunge, just shout and I'm sure we'll all jump to help.

I'll be getting on touch about flying online after the holiday (here in the us.) It's nice to know that we've got such an active and helpful forum.

Kevin, I've split the support bits of this thread out to it's own topic in the support grouping: the above quote links to it. ;D
