Title: ATR 42 - Course and altitude settings
Post by: EHM-0018 Thomas on April 02, 2004, 07:28:41 pm
On the ATR 42 download there's a note about the settings in 1000's and 10's on the auto pilot. It says if this occures "mark fix gauge increments in FSUISP". Of course this is happening to me and I don't know what this means to be able to fix it. Anyone else have this problem and how do you fix it???

If that should actually read FSUIPC then it sounds to me like you need to download the latest version of FSUIPC from here: http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html. But I wouldn't bother, you have to register it and registration costs €20 ($22, £14). In my opinion its not really worth it.

I just landed the ATR42 after a flight from EHAM to EDDS. I know the problem you mean, the heading only increasing in 10 degree increments could be a problem, but the altitude hold goes up in 100ft increments which I dont find to be a problem.

If someone has an older version of FSUIPC, before they started with their registration-thingy (since when is buying and registering the same???). You can change all the settings, including the 'fix control acceleration'. Unfortunately I had a harddisk-crash 3 weeks ago, and lost all kind of FS-addons. I could find most of it. But I'm still looking for an old FSUIPC-version.

I have version 2.95 of FSUIPC which lets me change all that. It's the old freeware version. Is it legal to share it?

I couldn't find anything on the site that said that it isn't legal to share older versions of FSUIPC. Seems logical to me, the older version are freeware.

I don' know why I didn't notice it before but you can download a version of FSUIPC from the suggested downloads (http://www.euroharmony.com/site/sugdownload.htm) page. I don't know which version it is though, so if you haven't tried that, it might be worth a look.
