Hmmmm.........out of sheer boredom, i decided to challenge myself by taking of from Innsbruck (what a way to start the day hehe)
Well, lets get ready to roll, this is my departure shot, flaps up and gear up, we're on our way

and the following shots show the most realistic clouds i have ever seen in FS.

Post your comments and tell me how i can improve them.

very nice shots..
couple of improvements.. well.. just the one..
try and fit the airport in as well.. like just as the aircraft is leaving or a shot backwards showing the departure path.. somthing like that..
cram lots into each shot..

Ok, will try, i think that once i passed the low cloud base, it was quite hard hehe

I love the clouds - great shots Razza. The only thing that does bug me - I don't know about anyone else - is that puddle of milk around hills that microsoft uses for a low cloud or mist effect. I had it through most of the Greece tour and it only looked convincing in a couple of shots. Most of the time it just looks as though the mountains are emerging from a milk lake. Hope they sort that one out in FS2006 :)
My personal favourite out of the bunch is the final one but they're all decent shots.

I am in the same opinion! Very nice shots, and dumb Microsoft for that ugly milkshake! ;D It looks nice when you fly inside, but looks awful from above. This one is surely a point where FS2006 must be improved. And I could imagine DXT3 textures by factory default ;)
Back to the pictures, they are really nice! My personal favourite is the last one too. Keep on the shooting Razza ;)

Roberto - in Photoshop they call the technique feathering I think - where they take a boundary and 'blur' the edges by a certain percentage - it can't be too difficult in flight simulator to do the same.

CHeers, is there a patch anyware to replace it!?!?!?

I don't think so Razza - I think we're stuck with this until FS2K6 :)

Maybe there is not a DirectX command available yet, to support this graphic effect. Maybe it could be done only with some new 3D clouds around the edges, to overlap the sudden change in colors. :%
