Title: April Monthly Fly-in discussion space
Post by: EHM-1281 Cyriel on April 10, 2005, 09:41:36 pm
Dear Pilots,

Time flies so soon it will be time again for our monthly fly-in. The fly-in will be on a Friday this time so so we present you with a little longer flight from LSZH to LPPT. Because of the flight time we will leave at 19.30Z (20.30CET) latest. As last time it took a while to get clearances it may be wise to try and get yours a little before 19.30. As soon as you have the clearance you can wait a while before actually leaving. Upon arrival in LPPT I expect our CEO Bruno to take us out for some drinks as I guess he knows all the good places in Lisbon.

I hope as many people show up as last time so that we can make this another good Fly-In.
You can discuss the Fly-In here

See you all on the 22nd

Cyriel, I can never guarantee to be there but with children to put to bed in the real world, virtual world takes a back seat in my life until about 9PM GMT so I'm afraid I'm highly likely to miss this one - sorry.

I will be there too and 1930 Z is no problem for me , even with the time change (4hours behind GMT) here in the US.

I am really looking forward to get  the Airbus330-300 out of the hangar after the inspection.
And then hopefully a nice Company Flight Trip with a lot of EHM-Pilots from Zuerich to Lisbon.
We are already getting excited the Pilot, Co-Pilot and the beautiful EHM Stewardesses to meet each other for this big event!!  :]

see you guys and " Auf Wiedersehn" ;)

Actually NEA UL14 ELVAR is not available for traffic destination LPPT. Instead NEA UN872 FTM should have been used.

When you generate a flight plan with Routefinder always select the RAD and CDR checkboxes (Warn for Restrictions). Then, along the FP, you will get a list with possible restrictions along the route. You select which ones to take in consideration, and reroute.

Gergely, I usually do, and thought I did this time as well (but obviously didn't), so apologies to everyone that used my routing (saw a couple of you before it kicked off...)

Lisbon CTR/APP didn't seem to mind too much though...

I am very sad again ......

I can see that it is in destiny that i will not finish a da!#*mn monthly fly-in! It is the third time that i try and it is the third one that i failed.

This one my mother just took the bright idea to turn on the clothes washed machine at the same time as the microowaves and the house electric power just shuted down! .... Result : My laptop just crashed up (=blue screen) even with the batteries....

I am starting to loose my patiente on this days ...

If you use FS2002, you have first to join the multiplayer session in FS before connecting to the network!

Also check you have the laters directx installed.

That's got to be the most frustrating reason for not finishing a flight Bruno!

At least I wasn't even at the computer ... have you considered getting your mother to wash by hand in the sink?

My first Fly-in experience
No voice, only text.
Dep - LSZH
Arr   - LPPT
Departure time was 1930z, so i arrived at 1900z and already were some Euroharmony's aircrafts.
I studied the diagram of the airport and noticed that somebody arrived in the gate behind me. It was Murray Crane.
However some Euroharmony's guys, are already flying. So i decided to request my departure procedures to the controll.
Cleared to taxi and hold to rwy32, i was taxing and in last minute controll says--" crosswinds rwy in use is 28".
No problem, i hold at rwy28, cleared to take off and here we go.
Gaining speed i saw an airplane very close to the track, at my left, i passed in front of him without problems.
Reaching my cruise level at 30000ft, i sent a private msg to our CEO Bruno.
No answer, and he disappear from Servinfo. His mother just shuted down the house's electric power.
Over France, Marseille controller, sent me to FL310.....i was flying to west so it must be a even flight level, but no problem i climb to FL310. Behind me i heard Murray saying something about it to the Marseille controller.
At the Spanish Airspace i saw in Servinfo, one aircraft and two names on it,..eheheh....Murray and Kendy were flying to near each other, maybe in formation.
I didn't read the forum before departure, and chose the route to ELVAR.
Entered Portuguese Airspace at FL300 and Controller sent me to FL110.
From now my bad luck started. He sent me direct to ESP vor, i did it in my GPS.My heading was 245 dct to ESP. Few minutes later he sent me heading 250 and pass me to LPPT_APP, i was 20nm to ESP yet, and LPPT_APP say's..." descend to 3000ft, turn right immediatly direct to CP(Caparica NDB), contact LPPT_TWR"...hmmmmm  goes to be an hard angle to intercept the ILS for rwy 03, I thought.
Contacted LPPT_TWR, he sent me back to LPPT_APP, and he sent me again to LPPT_TWR...ehehehhe..like a tenis ball.
In this moment i intercepted the ILS, and my frames descend from 85fps to 8 fps.....everything was jumping in my screen. I inform LPPT_TWR full Ils est.
He must clear me to land or not. I was aligned with the rwy and he cleared to land another guy. Few seconds after this i thought in a missed approach and LPPT_TWR say's.."Correction clear EHM1442"...eheheh...so i go to try to land( my mistake, try to land with 8fps is almost impossible).
I entered on the side of the rwy and eat all the grass, until the end. stoped sideways in a taxiway.......eheheheheh...."Correction...eheheheh" I said to LPPT_TWR.
I try to taxi and i had the engines with different powers, and the aircraft goes sideways......eheheheheh...
Finally i parked the aircraft ,and went to bed.....but i was not able to sleep , there was a nightmare.......landing.....eheheh

The incredible Blah..Blah....
