I am thinking of starting flying online.
But I have limited download broadband.
Just wondering, for a flight on IVAO, what is the total size per hour on average that is downloaded to your PC (with voice and without).
Thanks

Please, dont forget to register first on the forum. You placed the topic on an anonymous alias.
Normally, the downloaded transactions are in a very small way ... they are constant, but not using all the broadband.
So, I dont think you'll have problems with it ... even with a 56000kbps modem you can use IVAO.

As i have just found out, it is only hard to download the software!

OK, I get that speed won't be the problem, but how much data is actually transferred to my PC.
Sorry if I am just being awkward.
BTW, I made my 1st flight for EHM yesterday!

I´m thinking about starting flying online, too.
But would my system be rady for it, if I would use my Athlon XP 2000+
and 768 MB DDR.
Would that be enough???

Hi,
Iain: you can fly without problems even with 56k. Download per hour is not greater than 2MB, even with very high traffic. However you have to download about 25MB of software first.
Manuel: the best idea is to try it and see. :) If your FS works well in offline mode, online flying shouldnt be a problem, IvAp is very CPU-friendly.

Is that 2Mb with or without voice?

Hello,
it is with voice.

Wow - that is amazing.
I think I will be able to use IVAO anyway then!
Thanks

I was going to mention.
My connection is very fast, but I do not have unlimited download, so when it runs out, I have to wait till next month.
