Title: AI Aircraft Floating off the ground
Post by: EHM-1570 Bruce on May 18, 2005, 08:48:33 pm
I have installed some scenery for LSZH, the scenery is great especially with the Euroharmony AI aircraft, however the scenery was for FS 2002 and all the AI aircraft are floating off the ground. My question is, is there an easy way to correct this problem?.

Maybe the AFCAD file that is installed do not have the same altitude defined, as inside the visual model: the scenery.

If you install sceneries, check the AFCAD file before so it was matched with the scenery. Use always the desired AFCAD file with the proper scenery. Many AFCAD file creator make files for default airports as well. They are good too. For example I use default Heathrow scenery, with an edited AFCAD, but I have some add-on airports, which I had to download proper AFCAD files for.

I have tried 2 different AFCAD files for LSZH and the AI aircraft float with both AFCAD files, however if I revert back to the default LSZH scenery the aircraft are on the ground, the problem seems to be in the scenery file, is there any way to alter the scenery file?.

It's not advisable to use scenery for FS2002 in FS2004 as the meshes and textures might not match
