Title: BBJ2 Range Issue
Post by: EHM-1570 Bruce on May 25, 2005, 10:48:25 pm
I have just tried to fly the Euro Business mission M041 KBFI to EGKK in the BBJ2, however the aircraft will not make the trip as it runs out of fuel over the Atlantic. The problem is in the fuel section of the Aircraft Config file, it only allocates 46000lbs of fuel which is the fuel load for a standard 737/800 and not a BBJ which has extra fuel tanks to extend the range from 3500nm to 6000nm. My question is, can it be agreed to edit the Config file to an acceptable level of fuel in order to extend the range of this aircraft to what it should be?. I guess it would need somewhere in the region of an extra 35000lbs of fuel.

Or you could just stop for fuel in KJFK/KLGA?

If you know, how to add extra fuel capacity to the aircraft, then you can increase your fuel, but another option is to do a stop somewhere mid-route ;)

Unfortunately some tour legs and some aircrafts are not correct. These are under investigation.

Robert,

I mentioned this afore the Big Crash, and got around it by tweeking the config to make mine a BBJ2 with all the long-range tanks installed. I even reduced the cargo space so that the model was still correct.

I was planning to do much the same again when I get round to doing the EHB missions (need to finish the Danube tour, do the next stage of the VFRWT, and finish the project I'm on for management... and not in that order I hasten to add) for the fleet BBJ2 (and a PMDG version as well)...
