I would like to know if edited screenshots are allowed in the contest ?

No they aren't.

If so, the contest should not be fair enough.

We may have an artistic screenshot competition in the future, there you can use Adobe Photoshop or PaintShop to the best of your ability, but please, in this contest, just keep them un edited please!;)
