Finally!!! Those of us that love the work of Precision Manuals will no doubt be totally ecstatic to hear their 747-400 project has begun beta testing! To quote the PMDG web site:
PMDG is pleased to announce that the 747-400 has entered beta status. Our dedicated beta-test team will now ensure that the product meets the highest of quality standards for functionality, completeness and stability. The testers will also be allowed to show screenshots of the product in our forum, which can be found here (http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=show_topics&forum=136). Periodically, we will post news updates on the beta process and will announce when it is complete, indicating the subsequent product release.

Lovely! ;D
But I'm staying away from anything with a price tag, I'm saving up for a Canon EOS 350D.

Nice, can't wait to see some screenshots, however, i think the specs are too much to ask of my P.C:$

They are slow about the beta updates... Let's hope it's for soon !

Gettibg sweaty palms just thinking about it !!!

I think I read somewhere that the shortest Beta period was just under 90 days for a PMDG product, so.... we should be waiting still a while :)

Ah, but they've totally changed the beta process for the 747-400, is less beta testing and more software quality assurance (going by what they're saying on the PMDG forums)
But yes, if it's weeks, it's weeks, if it's months, it's months, and no amount of wishing will make any difference. Like the saying goes, if wishes were horses...

Can't say I know that saying Murray - I get what you mean though ;)
I am happy to wait a bit longer (even 90 days is only a few months :P). Will definately have to buy it! :D
