I know it sounds really stupid but what kind of chair do you use when you flying.
Mines just a swivel chair. But its not good for sitting down for long periods (maybe i should put a cushion on it).
But the strange thing for me is that that the chair is moulded into the shape of my ass ;D.
So what kind do you guys use. A nice leather chair or carved log?

I use something intermediate, it is cushioned but it doesnt have much backspace to lean on, I still want a more cushioned one for longer flights though.
Cheers,
Alex;)
P.S. It isnt that stupid of a question, i've wondered that sometimes too.

I use a cushioned office chair that can be adjusted in height and tilted.

I'm sure if we searched the Internet we'd find somebody like CH Products selling an essential piece of kit for all flight sim enthusiasts - the ideal solution for all those who wish to take flying to a new level. Having used the latest technology to analyse the chemical and physical construction of the pilot's cushion in a boeing 747 we supply you with 'arse 'o' sim'. The ultimate in backside technology. Now your butt can too feel what the butt of every real 747 pilot feels - yours for just £299.99
;)
There are some things that even an obsessive like me don't get worked up over - just sit down and fly will ye!

I was only wanting to know what you sat in. :]

Funny you should say that Phil. PFC (Precision Flight Controls) does a jetliner cockpit setup that uses leather seats as fitted in a business jet; can't remember which offhand...

One of those damnedably uncomfortable back chairs (the sort that are two cushions that you sort of kneel on...) It has a smaller footprint than an ordinary office-styleee swivel chair and it doesn't move about much once you sit on it...

I found some great setups on this site

You can switch between the flight controls, the wheel and a normal keyboard

Very nice!!!;D

Almost looks like a workout bench.

Yeah :]

lol thats what i thought at first!
anyway, i use a nice big leather chair that swivels and has an ottoman! i bought it after i was finished re-doing my room. But most of the time on long flights i walk away after i engage autopilot.

I hope you come back every 15 minutes to check on the flight! lol ;)

nice setup but looks kind of unstable......for me i sit on a flat wooden dining chair with no cushion at all........that's right very hard and uncomfortable, and to top it all it has a striped back support with well cuts into my back
