Hi Gianni,
:) This is a very difficult area to advise on, the thing that will limit your card is the budget you set. I never personally use the latest GFX cards but I do try and update to a recent model. The latest NVidia cards are the 7800 series but for one of these you will pay between 280 - 500 Euros, depending on the Model. You can pick up a decent 6800 series card for as little as 150 Euros, which ofcourse is a considerable saving and the performance difference between the two cards is not as great as the price may suggest. I would personally recommend paying between 150 - 200 Euros on Either ATI X800-GTO (or the more expensive X800-XL card) or the Nvidia Geforce 6800. (Or Upgrade to a 6800-GT card if you can afford it)
Of course, this depends also on your Motherboard, whether it is an AGP board or a PCI-E Board! There's a lot of considerations to take in to account. I personally use the ATI 850 XT which cost me about 250 Euros. (I'm averaging 45fps with very detailed scenery and all settings to the max!)
Hope this helps
Phil
