Hello
i am new and that's why i am asking. When you fly with some Realworld Airlines (Air Berlin etc.) you are not allowed to smoke while the hole flight. Do you allow smoking when you are a caption at a Euroharmony flight?

nope smoking not allowed on my flights. Hope this is a company policy
-
Absolutely my opinion, Cyriel!
On my flights, No smoking lights stay turned on all the time!!!!
I know Aircraft - Textiles cannot burn, cause my company produces the flame - retardants, but this is my personal opinion and an health - issue!
Greets!

NO SMOKING WHAT SO EVER
Imagine how non-smokers feel on the flight...in a pressurise cabin, for up to 12hrs with no outside air, and then some dude infront of you puffing away.
Smoking is just paying to kil yourself in my opinion, so thats why none of my flights allow smoking. :]

I'm pretty sure now no Airlines allow smoking.
-
roger I don't do it so my passengers aren't allowed too. ;D

How about a poll under the EHM Pilots to see if it becomes an company policy.. After all, 100% customer satisfaaction is our ultimate goal

I don't allow smoking in my flights too, the no smoking sign is always on because it is a matter of safety, and respect of non-smokers.
However I am a smoker myself and during flights (especially long ones) I always feel the need to smoke and I would like something to be done about it. I mean, it's ok to respect the ones that don't smoke, but what about the others who smoke? It is terrible to want to smoke during a long trip and to know that there are still 5 or 6 hours till landing :o
What about Euroharmony be the first airline company to introduce smokers and non'smokers seats?
Another option whould be to have some special places inside the plane (eg. toilets) with the appropriate modification in the ventilation systems that will not allow the smoke to be spead?
What do you think?

Sounds like an excelentt idea... I'm a smoker myself to... and yeah, cravings can be a bad thiing to sit through for 5-6 more hours
-
There are still a very few airlines authorising smoking. But most don't for quite some time. Comfort and security reasons.

I must admit, the last flight I took that was smoking was a Turkish flight between Istanbul & Izmir. I don't know whether they still allow it as that was a couple of years ago now.

If i need a quick cig i just crack the cockpit window open at FL330 and stick my head out - one hell of a rush !! Only joking, despite being a smoker as well all my flights are strictly no smoking - have enough trouble keeping the plane in the air with out a mid air fire!!
