Title: IVAO piloting question
Post by: EHM-0654 Murray on November 13, 2005, 04:14:00 pm
I had the following question come up in my IVAP exam (had nothing better to do...) and I'm stumped for the right answer:

Quote
You are 30 nm outside a FIR. A CTR controlling that FIR sends you a 'force act'. Do you have to contact him?

and the answers were:

Quote
  • Yes, tell my current ATC of the change.
  • No.
  • Yes, but only to advise that I'm not in his airspace.
  • Yes, immediately in case of traffic.

I got it wrong (I'll keep my answer secret for now). Any C2's or higher (Gergely?) out there feel like giving a brief answer and explanation?

EDIT: Just remembered, anyone that answers this had best U2U me the answer so as not to compromise the question; it *IS* part of a current IVAO exam, after all :)

Thanks Ben, that seems fair (and I can't for the life of me think why I didn't choose it :))
