Hi everyone
the strangest thing keeps happening to me during my flight, the flight sim tells me it has encountered an error and will have to shut down!
This has now happened for the fourth time, I am forced to give up on the flight as I cannot complete it.
This happens at precisely the same place in the sim, and normally after about forty minutes into the flight, I have even re-installed FS9 but it still happens.
Here are some statistics concerning the flight:
Flight no: 6659, Aircraft A320-200
LJPZ-LPPT
Position during flight;
44 37' 37" Lat
06 54' 06" Lon
Hdg 259
Alt 21996
IAS 310
I cannot complete this flight, and am seeking advice as to Unlocking it for another, and will I get a penalty for this, has this happened to anyone else...?

Do you have any special scenery loaded for that part of the world? If yes unload it and try again.

No you can unlock the flight without being penalised:
Go to Pilot information section. Click Unlock flight. A dialog appears. Press OK, overriding the pop-up blocker. A popup appears confirming you will unlock the flight.
No idea about the error though...

Thanks Iain
I am trying the flight one more time, but this time with a different route.
I have a feeling that the error has something to do with the geographical location, so it is possible there is a problem with that particular BGL file, within the simulator.
Anyway thanks again, at least I know how to unlock a flight. ;)

Thanks for your reply Cyriel...
I couldn't remember whether I had upgraded or added scenery to that part of the world, but I am almost 100% sure that I didn't.
But you are on the right track, I also think it is a faulty BGL file. :s
Thanks again Cyriel, much appreciated.

Well, I am happy to report...
that although my flight took a little longer than it should have, I completed it.
I changed the route in order to steer clear of the above co-ordinates, I am sure that this particular area of the BGL is faulty, so if anyone else experiences problems in this area, this could be the possible reason. BTW I have not added scenery, and use only the default scenery!
Anyway I am glad to have completed it, after my fourth try. :$

Had a similar event while doing a group flight a few months ago. FS kept getting errors when approaching a vertain point. Turned out to be a corrupt .bgl file for the area.
A reinstall of the file stopped the problem.
