Title: Dakar Embraer\'s return flights
Post by: EHM-0948 Bruno on January 13, 2006, 11:43:49 am
Dear pilots,

After you finish the Dakar event, we need to get those Embraers back to Lisbon (if not they will be blocked on Dakar forever).

So, because the Embraer's cannot fly a direct flight to Lisbon, we accept suggestions for a stop to refuel ;) ..
Because this is done using ProPilot, we need to have 2 more flights.
Also these 2 flights don't count to receive the award. But it would be good that you also do these 2 flights, returning, safe and sound, the airplanes to the base.

So, give us your suggestions.

Regards,

We could fly home via Gran Canary or Tenerife even Funchal - not so much sand there.

Sir's!

Funchal too far in Current Embraer 120!
Maximum fuel loading 5730 pounds. (Fsnavigator calculated FL260, Climb speed 200, Cruise Speed 220, no wind calculated) Requied fuel 6862 Pounds.

Real specifictation info:
2 660 kg  Maximum fuel weight -> 5 860  Ehhh.. who lost 130 pounds in FS aircraft??

Continued....

Dakar - Funchal Distance Direct flight 1077 nm.
And Aircraft max Range 1100 nm. Limits safety flight!!!

I'am voted new destination: Grand Canaria Airport.
(FS nav calculated fuel 5167 Pounds, and Distance to Dakar: 800 nm)

Next leg (Gran Canaria - Lisbon)  722 Nm (Calculated fuel 4697 pounds)

(Total Fuel loaded 5730 pounds)  Trip fuel first leg 5167 pound+navigaton+winds+ go arrounds and holdings fuel, + my children + my family  and alternate airports?????

I personally would prefer a 3-stops flight with more takeoffs and landings and shorter leg flying time (I fly on IVAO, and long legs require flight attendance all the time). I made up this  route using FSNAV: GQPP 370 nm, GMML 430 nm, GMMX 380 nm and LPPT 430 nm.  It is just a suggestion. Maybe we can have an option.

Ok,

Final Result:

GOOY -> GCLP

then two ways:

GCLP -> GMMX -> LPPT or GCLP direct to LPPT.

Flight numbers starting in S015 to S018.

These flights don't count for the award (But we appreciate that you do them).

Simulation rate 2x or 4x allowed by ProPilot/FlightLogger?

Yes, sure.

That accelerated time will be discounted automatically on your flight logger.

I am bringing her home, 70 minutes to go and she is back home for a good cleanup and maintenance. Keep on the lookout for that special Lisbon-Dakar Beech 1900 paint folks ;)
