Hello, i have downloaded and installd the Falcon 50EX from our fleet page. When i opne the plan an error occurs that the overhead gauges are wrong. The mainpanel works well only the overhead panel has now knobs, etc. Could somebody help me to solve the problem??
Thanks Hardy

Hi Hardy,
well, I am a bit concerned, because I have not found any problem with the panel. You can open the overhead panel with Shift+5 on the 2D panel. Inside the virtual cockpit, the overhead panel is not modelled, or lets say rather not working.

Sorry Roberto no chance on my pc,
i get the message YLF50_Overhead.Gau could not loaded. Therefor the plane with the main panel starts but not the overhead panel. i have xp home edition and fs9 installed. All other panels works well. Is there a download page where i can get the panel as a extra file??

Just to note I get the same result as Jörg

And so does I

Well,
I checked the installer, and the file is in it. The file should be installed in the main Gauges folder. If you find it there, you have a system error, and not a missing file. I am sorry at the moment I cannot help more.

Robert - no-one is saying it is not there - it is just that FS9 will not load it (at least for some of us). I have tried all the usual fixes in case it is an FS2002 gauge but none of them are working. There are scarcely any alternative panels for the model so I think I will continue to use the default LJ panel for the time being.

Okay it was not clear for me from the message ;) Well, I do not know for sure. I had FS9.0 and FS9.1 and I did not have problem with either :s
This is only an idea, but maybe you could try. The package includes a file called FSSound.dll Many panels use it, and sometimes it causes problems because it is a very old developed one. You should try to add it to the game cfg (C:\Docs and settings...\User\Appsdata...\MS...\FS9\), as
[oldmodules]
FSSound.dll=1
Maybe it helps.

Good thinking that man!! That may work.

Hello Robert, your tip was right. After changing the game.cfg the panel works as it should. So god to have people with a big aknowledgement in the company.
See you in the sky. Thank you

Phuhhh :) I am glad we could solve it finally. I hate these phantom errors.
