So you know I am a bit of a video fanatic, well I found this little beauty on my travels.
Ever wanted to build yourself an A380? This will show you exactly how, in just 7 minutes and 14 seconds!

Hope you enjoy it!
(I just love the sound of the whales in the background at about 25 seconds in with a head on view of the top of this beast down the runway with the heat haze distorting the view, fantastic peice of video production and very fitting!)

Wow ! It was amazaing ! Being an engineer, the most interesting was to see the production technique. Wish I could work there in a so big factory...
At Boeing, they move all the parts by cranes from the ceiling, and they move the airplane on the "production line", so they assemble different things on different locations of the hangar.
At Airbus, they use elevators to assemble the most parts, and the plane stands in one position, while the "production line" moves next to the plane. But it seems, the production time needs to be cut in parts, because they used another assembling hangars too in the process ;)
Well, I could not judge which production process is better, but it seems Boeing and Airbus do always the opposite ;D
