I am making a flight within these few days from Istanbul
and i wondered,
"Since Istanbul is partly in Europe, partly in Asia,Which side is LTBA considered to be in?"
Pls tell me if you know if it is considered Asia or Europe:s

I think it is on the European side of Istanbul.
-
i meant if i depart or arrive there, will it be counted for the european pilot award?:|

1 country is not much. At worst it'll be one more flight to make.

Well since Ankara the capitol of Turkey is a part of the European tour and by completing the Eurpean tour give you the Cobalt award I assume that turkey is recogniced as a part of europe as they want to be...

Istanbul is the largest city in Turkey, and the most important city . It is located on the Bosphorus,
The west side is european and east side is asian,
Ankara is on asian side and actual its not a capitol city off europe, but its on the EHM tours A-110, so for the award its counts.
And politcal Turkey isn't part off europe, in 2004 started opening of accession talks between Turkey and EU.

Geographically speaking (and historically speaking too) Istanbul is half european, half asian :) you can't tell which it is.
