Hi pilots, Yesterday I downloaded the new Ivap version (1.30). I installed that many times and always when FS try to connect to Ivap it show me an error: Failed to connect with network, please start Ivap manually. So I open Ivap manually but it always give me the same error. Does anybody know what does it is?? What do I have to do to solve it?

No standard tips.
Reinstall IVAP, and restart PC.
Solved problems?

Hi,
- do you use FS2002 or 2004?
- did you select MultiPC at installation? you have to select that ONLY if you run ivap at another PC than FS

i have FS2004 and I don't use MultiPC what does it means that I have to select that? I can't understand. Do I have to repeat the installation and to select MultiPC???
-
Hi
He was saying that you should not select MultiPC when you install. If you are unsure which option you selected, reinstall and ensure you select the option to not use MultiPC
-
Ok I don't select MultiPC but the error still remains, what can it be???

Ivap tells me this: "FS failed to connect to the Ivap network interface. We will try to connect to the network interface, check if the network interface is running on the correct machine".
-
Do you have a firewall or (and) a router?
If so, is Ivap allowed to connect to the network ?
-
Yes I have a firewell but it allows Ivap connecting to the internet....what can it be????

Make sure (if using Windows XP) that the Windows Firewall isn't (possibly also) stopping IVAP from talking to itself.
IVAP is in effect three separate programs that need to talk to each other "over the network", *even* if they are all running on the same machine! If you are not using the Windows Firewall as your primary software firewall, turn it off all together to prevent it from causing problems in the background.

Hi !
I have the same problem...although I do not know the reason, I have a solution ;)
There is a program called IVAPNETINT.EXE in the IVAP installation folder. It controls the 4 LED icons on the taskbar. I used to run it with a link before starting IVAP, and after it still drop off the error messages, the system and IVAO can boot up fine. ;D It is not automatical, but works...
Try out this !
I am not sure, but I guess the problem came from a Windows bug: my Windows Username/Folder contains non-English characters which led e.g. MTL installer to go crazy...I can only think that some other programs like IVAP works as is, because of bad installation due to non-English character in the Windows username. Who knows, but I want to reinstall my system in the close future, and I hope the problem will be solved.

I tried everything, the firewall, the manual operations, but nothing works....Does anybody still have the Ivap 1.21 installer???
