As somebody who enjoys flying the turboprops I'm very tempted by this package but I'm not sure whether the 'Express' in the title that seems to imply a 'lighter' experience means it's not worth the money. Does anybody else have and use this PMDG product and if so is it a big enough boost from the standard B1900 to be worth the upgrade?
-
Oh goodness me yes. The Express only means they haven't spent a year developing it... I love this plane/model, especially with the RealityXP gauges applied.
-
I wouldn't say that. I think the 'express' and 'ligher product' are merely referencing the fact that it doesn't take an hour (OK OK an exaggeration) of FMC setup before you start the engines.
Not that I have the product... but this should be a pretty impartial review for you.

EDIT: My post above was disagreeing with the first statement that 'it isn't worth upgrading, not with Murray's - we must have been typing at the same time ;D
-
I'd definitely agree with Murray - the model is detailed and flies a treat plus the VC is superb and adds a lot to the experience especially as it's not a frame rate killer !!
I recommend it Phil, well worth the reasonable price.

Thanks for the advice. The review link was particularly useful and seemed to negate my worries. I think I'll go for it. Probably wait til I finish flying the Pioneers DC3 event and then jump right in.

Hi Phil!
I fly the PMDG one and really can recommend it, too!
If you like smaller turboprops, you´ll love it
Regards!

Phil, an absolute must have in my book. Great little plane and very nice work by PMDG. Easy to start and fly and great for those little flights where you just cant be bothered with the FMC etc etc
