Today i took a flight in my trusty 747 after weeks trying to get to grips with MD11 and its fancy panel(excellent freeware panel but complex)which iam finding extremely hard to land.Anyway after an uneventful flight iam descending into ULLI coasting in nicely on the ILS feeling a little tired a hard days work, radio burbling quietly in the background and and and....FOUR HUNDRED!agghh! nearly had a heart attack why are those altitude callouts nearly always at deafening levels .
Cheers Andy (the tremulous pilot)

Agree! I'm so concentrated on the final, leaning forward... and then it's like those joke-movies which seem so calm, but in the end ends up with a screaming monster on the screen.
Wav-annoyent n.2: GPWS sounds that loops while the sim is paused!

supose it is annoying, but if you flying in fog, and you were headed for a hill and it was suddenly saying a warning quitly and you didnt hear it , you would be annoyed :P hehe ;)
But yeh the 500 and 300 etc etc can be annoying.

Actually if you have sounblaster you can edit the wav files but its a bit tedious.
Actually can you edit wav files(turn down sound and save)with standard XP.
Cheers Andy(FIVE HUNDRED.....aGGHHH!

I hate the copilot on landing too, especially when he say "TOO LOW TOO LOW"

I like that, lets you know that your too low and you dont have enough flaps or gear etc.

Yes I too have to admit that I do have been saved from a disaster by the GPWS.
